  • I agree with Eddie I would love to see Williams do well I am an oldy 78 remember when Williams were the team to be reckoned with
  • @mrfrosty42
I wrote my very first job application to Williams Grand Prix Engineering, Station Road Didcot in June 1978 - I was ahead of their success and couldn't get them to employ a 16 year old but they did reply to me in a detailed letter about how I could get some experience. My engineering career went a different way but I ended up supplying equipment to Paddy Lowe for the development of the Active Ride cars and this started a long and varied association with the team. I desperately want the Williams name to be written big in motorsport again.

I'm getting vibes that Williams have something good brewing. I don't feel Sainz Sr. would allow Jr. to sign with Williams if there wasn't something good coming their way.......we'll see. Papa Sainz keeps a pretty good eye on the boy, but not overbearing like some.
  • Eddie is some manager. Dropping Adrian Newey on a driver's update. 👍😂
  • Williams have always been my team, I'm really excited that Carlos chose to sign for us
  • @livef1fan473
Please bring back Eddie's crazy Formula 1 predictions segments he used to do on BBC and Channel 4. They were the best!
  • @armandolobato455
Hi Eddie! Thanks for the update! You are a good lad! 👍🏼 Cheers from San Diego CA
  • @BRUTUSz
Reports about Adrian Newey to Aston Martin. Get that man back to old times in Williams. Its time to see Williams back in action. Its all roumers fore now.
  • @robstrong5624
Deep down you are pining for DC I can tell great move for Carlos James Vowles is a class operator he will restore the Williams name in time
  • @hogrydr100
ive always been an Albon fan so when he went to Williams i became a Williams fan. then when James V. became TP i was and still am Soooo excited for the future of the team, Albon and Sainz. James had to put this season on "hold" while money was spent building the team and the future. i can definitely see a podium for Williams in 2025
  • @marcushinton772
I miss the days when Williams were the top team, hopefully it will happen again but as we know in F1 lady luck is fickle. Loved to meet Eddie as two old grumpy gits - F1 may the love and passion never die
  • @daveblock4061
I find it hard to believe RBR is focused on the Constructor's Championship. Whatever Carlos Slim and Liberty Media had to say (pay) to them with the upcoming Mexican GP and no Sergio Perez is what has kept his seat. Ten or twenty million is all it would take to .
  • @speed6725
I would love to see Williams return to the days when they were a force of nature in F1. Especially back in the late 80s early 90s when they were Canon Williams.
  • Fantastic news Carlos joining Williams , as everyone knows throughout the season by season it's all about updates to the car, simply by installing a far far better driver in Sainz over Sergeant is 1 massive for Williams for the 2025 season and beyond they will definitely move up the grid possibly as high as 6th come the end of next season. James Vowles means business no doubt adding Sainz JR.
  • @MeHighG
Nice to see you here all hand on deck sir!
  • @grantmiller6570
I am hoping that Carlos can help Williams makes its way back the front again, that would be great to see.
  • @wpbarchitect1800
I say this without a shred of exaggeration: if more people, particularly those in media, be it Old or New, were as honest and candid as EJ, that is, had the integrity not to lie to people's face with the rationalization being career/social advancement, this world would be a FAR better place.
  • @poeticnije
Williams have a really good team base now with an excellent driver pairing that will both drive their hearts out - purely to advance the team. I really can see 2026 being the start of another "magical" era for F1 :)
  • @rz5090
I think it's the other way, can Williams build a car capable or getting to the podium. Carlos is more than capable.
  • @pauljennings8432
Yup I can remember the days Williams dominated the sport, Sainz moving to Williams in a weird way reminds me of Damon Hill going to Arrows, as for Perez he is clearly struggling with the car and that reminds me of HH.Frentzen when he was at Williams back in the day. Thanks for sharing with us EJ.
