When last we left our heroine, Rebecca, she was singled out by the Citizens of Main Street and made to sing Disney showtunes to a crowd of people! But alas! Our young star has landed herself in a new predicament! Now she must face off with the Citizens of Hollywood and golden boy Ready Freddy Fiddlesticks! Bascially, I get picked on again by street performers.

4:17) I honestly think what Freddy did was a legitimate reaction because I don’t think anyone has ever drawn a picture of him before so I think he was actually excited so he kind of made it part of his act

  • Rebecca: If I had a nickel for every time a street performer picked on me, I’d have 2 nickels, which is not a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Man, the anxiety of "what if they turn that page" is real. When I was in my senior year of high school, way back in the long long ago, my best friend told me that he had downloaded Starwars Episode 2 attack of the clones or whatever and had it on either a CD or DVD, I don't remember if DVDs existed yet, but this was like 2 months before the movie was even going to release in theaters. This was a super early leak of the movie. He made this copy for me, because he knew that I wanted to see it just like he did and it was exciting and all that. Anyway, later in the day I got into my economics class and I don't remember exactly why but the teacher decided to have us watch a movie that day instead of doing classwork. He had some movie, I don't even remember what it was, but nobody wanted to watch it. Everybody was kind of groaning, and this was a pretty cool teacher, not your average guy, so he asked if anyone in class had any movies with them they'd rather see. Now, I had told a couple of my friends about my Episode 2 movie I was carrying, so they knew about it, and one of them was in that class and said "Yeah, hes got the new star wars movie". Everyone turned and looked at me in disbelief. The teacher said, you have episode 1? And I was like, no man, I got episode 2. He was shocked, saying it hadn't even come out yet. The illegality of the situation escaping everyone involved, the teacher wanted me to bust it out so we could watch some of it in class because he wanted to see it. So I proudly produced it and handed it over. He setup the projector in the room so it could play the movie in front of the class. He put in the CD. And my anxiety level IMMEDIATELY jumped from 0 to 100%. I felt like I was about to be murdered. I just had one thought repeating in my head over and over and over again. "What if my friend was pranking me and he DIDNT actually download this movie 2 months before its release and he had actually put porn on that CD." I have never been so scared in my life, when the teacher loaded up that CD and I just couldn't stop thinking its about to start playing a porno in front of this whole class. The massive shitstorm it would cause. I would be expelled, the teacher might get fired, and when asking how it happened the administration would find out that we were trying to do something very illegal in the first place. My guts sank through the floor. No more than 10 seconds must have passed in real time, but it felt like an excruciatingly long time. Should I stop him? Should I warn him? Should we turn off the projector and see whats on that disc before showing the class? That would avert the crisis. I was just frozen in fear, trapped in my own mind at what could potentially happen. And then... It happened... That loud ass john williams intro song and STAR WARS appeared on the screen at the front of the class. I was so fucking relieved. If my friend had decided to fuck with me and prank me that day, as he had done on many other occasions, it would've been SO bad. But he came through when it really mattered. I also got a lot more popular after that because people were really impressed I had a movie 2 months before it would even release and I had a lot of people hitting me up wanting a copy of it. But damn it was a scary moment.

To be fair, people get happy when you make fanart of their characters. It still makes me happy when i see people drawing my characters ^~^

  • I love the references to art school things anytime she talks about it, like when she was talking about being able to go to disneyland in her free time during college, you can see bottled opera on the art monitor, love the little details
  • Gosh, this made me tear up. In 2010, I went to Disneyland (after 14 years back to the US, as I live in the Philippines). I was in my 20's dreaming of being a professional character designer. I drew almost all the characters I wanted to meet and their reactions were priceless...I was so happy. Now, in my mid 30's, having worked as a storyboard artist, illustrator and character designer, my trip to Disneyland was/is still one of my most treasured memories. Sad that I can't visit as often as I want...and I would bawl my eyes out if I could visit WDW again...haven't been there since the 90's.
