Time to kickoff the Summer build season on the Slowrun SMP with an ancient Rusted Tower sheltering a solemn shrine to The Face in the Deepslate.

The Minecraft community has no shortage of inspiring builders. There are so many talented builders pushing the boundaries every day and I want to call out the influences that have been inspired me and helped shape my style on this build.

First, I am indebted to the one and only ‪@bdoubleo‬ for finding crazy beautiful patterns with deepslate, and helping me understand what texturing really means. My homage to Mr Bdubs is linked above at timestamp 13:38.

I was also inspired by a stunning build of the Vienna City Hall by Vahaan (check out Vahaan on Twitter), member of the ‪@BakeryBuilders‬, a collection of the most cutting edge builders in Minecraft today.

Hi from Reddit! Really love how approachable this build looks. It's nice, has a story (my favourite kind of builds!), and isn't a mega base (that, albeit majestic, are discouraging)

LOL this is the exact reason I made the bamboo farm on my SMP! UTILITY WOOD! I didn't know how to describe it before, I kept giving these long explanations about why I needed it. Utility wood is the best description for sure. Also whoa, very interesting how the deepslate works to add a face! I didn't know that! Really impressive build! I like the 4 pillars and LOVE the door pattern! I can for sure see how you were inspired by Bdubs! Unrelated, I see only 16 and 17 for your videos, what happened to the rest?
