Talk about coming full circle, this explains everything.
-
That brings light to the "practice" clip
-
Love how iggy shutting up you nba nerds who never blame front offices for how most superstars are unfairly perceived.
-
Iggy was nice af in Philly. That’s when he was really in his bag
-
This is crazy. What if A.I played for a team that wanted to win from the beginning
-
Not having a dedicated practice facility for an NBA team is mind blowing.
-
As Philly fan ,I always felt sixers was always to cheap to win championships, this confirms it
-
Even Charles Barkley says he thought his name was "Charles Barkley you MF" while playing in Philly
-
“The gym was booked” is wild 🤬🤔
-
Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) on City line Ave was the practice facility before the Sixers FINALLY got the spot in Camden NJ on the waterfront of the river. Damn im old...smh 😂
-
Meros depth of knowledge is actually impressive 🔥
-
...and now, y'all gotta BRING A.I. on the scene to get more perspective. #Please
-
I’m still surprised Melo and iverson didn’t achieve more together
-
Yeah A.I. was unique at only 6'0 ft 165 lbs or so he dominated the league a scoring machine. He used his speed, quick handles and legendary cross over to get by tall defenders. Because his small frame he took a beating but it never slowed him down.

That's how you know AI still has hella love for Philly. I'm 33 and before this clip I never knew this information. AI could've stopped that whole we talking about practice s#it right then and there with this really.
-
That’s wa such an impactful conversation. The break down of how winning and “practice” was truly viewed by the organization. And then how it cascaded to AI. It makes perfect sense.

Like folks hear the story, but they still dont get what they are saying. Think about how much time Kobie spent in the practice facility to perfect his game. At all kinds of hours of the night and days of week. Think about how much Curry says he shots in the practice facility on his shot. He lives in the facility. Now take all that away from both of those players...does their game evolve as much as it did with that type of access. Melo told you that once AI got access to an actual facility just for themselves, AI shooting % went up. Its absolutely crazy that he took a team to the NBA finals, and they couldn't really get extra work in. It's amazing that he had the career he did when not actually having the resources the other great players had.

Completely Blows My Mind 2 Hear NBA Teams That Didn’t Have Practice Facilities…. I Heard This About The Lakers Years Ago & Was Like Hell Naw!
-
"A weight watchers Convention" that is crazy!

Of all the great players to never win a chip, Iverson did quite a bit with the least amount of offence surrounding him. Melo was the only other superstar caliber player he ever played with. And I don’t think Iverson played with ANY all stars in their prime. He’s the smallest lethal weapon in the history of the game. Until a few years ago, I think he was top 3 all time in career scoring average. He’s truly 1 of 1.
