In an interview where he speaks in searing if not excoriating terms about the sort of country India has become in the last decade, about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and about one of India’s most popular film stars Shah Rukh Khan, the well-known and widely followed blogger Avay Shukla says Narendra Modi “is delusional, totally lacks empathy and compassion, is amoral” adding “the audience must decide for themselves whether this means he is a flawed personality”. Mr. Shukla asks: “What moral value does he (Modi) stand for other than winning elections and staying in power?”

It is wrong to point fingers at Shahrukh Khan. Why should the Muslim actors speak- they are already vulnerable and being targeted and will be branded anti-nationals.. shouldn't the majority hindu actors speak for them, no one will question their patriotism as being a Hindu in today's "Bharat" guarantees them to be nationalists. These Hindu actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn instead have become godi. The same is true of the so called cricket legends like Sachin Tendulkar. Moral of the story - we are a selfish and insensitive society. Period.
  • People were silent in Aryan's case because he is a Muslim and not because Shahrukh did not stand with others in the Times of their distress.

More than Shahrukh Khan's, it is Amitabh Bachan's indifference that's unacceptable (quite the opposite of his wife's stance) - yes, AvayS talked about it, but it needs more emphasis🙄

Avay Shukla's Analysis and Articulation is simply Brilliant.
  • @peekaymurray
No use blaming SRK for being wise & indifferent enoungh to NOT RESPOND in a Nation of 140 crores of which 50% are complicit in committing atrocities against him and his community ! You need to be in his shoes to know what its like to be a "minority under the sights" in this country !

Mr. Shukla, You have analysed the present day status of our so called middle class educated society so precisely that I (a part of other silent half of society) had to stop myself from listening your interview midway and write these lines first so as to unburden my conscience before listening to the remaining interview. This book of yours or atleast this interview of yours need to go around in our so called " Housing Society what's app groups" for those silent members at least, who have accepted that I wish some other Hindi video channels also talk to you on their talk show . You are absolutely on dot of the present Society during this period. Now whether this carries us to that Natzi mindset & its historical effects, only the Time knows ! My heartful gratitude.

Brutal, honest, painful, scary ..... and absolutely true!!! These are dangerous times...

I personally think that SRK speaks through his films. The way he was able to unite the country and convey the messages via his films is more powerful than dissent that’s expressed in anger.

It is a paradox in itself that within the perimeters of an insensitive society like that of ours and what we have become today, we have an Avay Shukla among us who can muster courage enough to pen such essays that go on to portray a really damaging and disturbing picture of a society standing on the verge of self-annihilation and self-destruction. It is really a catastrophe of dimensions and proportions unimaginable and unspeakable. Nothing can be more ignominious and abominable than this..

India lives in men like Mr. Avay Shukla. We need men like him —brave and outspoken.
  • @Msnovy
We are silent on Manipur and Laddakh to the point here we have forgotten it. We have become spineless and poisoned by hatered. We are becoming immoral irrational idiots.
  • @cedricvaz6112
The first rule in any Democracy is that the President of any country (as in America) and for India the Prime Minister should NOT be allowed to hold office for more than 2 consecutive terms.! This golden rule ensures this does NOT allow any leader anywhere to become delusional and dictatorial.! 🤔
  • Best interview, boldness, outspoken and crystal clear with the hypocrisy of Modi about the non Hindu communities and women who were victims in Manipur, Haryana and other cases like bilkis banu. Modi shamelessly and publicly shouts that he always stand with the Shakti of women. Kick BJP and safe the country.
  • @reydcu
Mr. Shukla you have hit the nail on its head. We are now living in a dystopian mind set that needs to be freed from the shackles that bind the people of India. We need better! Much better.
  • After hearing this interview.....I became speechless....I felt someone slapped me ....I felt so ashamed..questioning how I can be so insensitive.....as rightly said by Sir Shukla yes, something has become to our mind set....mute spectators....no not what to do.....fear, fear, fear,.... cos of family and self....yes, hard struggle, sacrifices we were proud to say ... India is a democratic, unity among diversity....so so....but, to utter ever secularism, democracy....I am scared....fear,fear,fear cos....of self and family....but, my faith on God... Almighty....is big....a day will come...to show no power is superior than God....God.....he will never let us down....he will wipe out fears and tears.....hope until then let's pray with strong faith.....

Don't agree to Shahrukh Khan being singled out. He's an easy target. It's the responsibility of someone from Hindu faith. Amitabh is a better example.
  • @cheminamgyal6890
In Jawan movie, Shahrukh Khan outpour his frustrations, anger and resentment😂😂😂 easier said than to be done… when there is ED, CBI, IT keeping eye on u

Mr Avay Shukla is absolutely right!
