Who is going to ride public transportation when you can’t even drive in your personal car without being robbed? This is crazy

I have a neighbor who works for SFMTA. He describes the atmosphere is like the Hunger Games.

Pedestrian safety is a bench mark for your city mayors and leaderships report card

Waitaminute! This guy essentially got fired in Santa Monica for doing a horrible job so that London Breed could appoint him here?! WTF??!!! It’s not just Valencia and Hayes Valley. On San Jose Ave, SFMTA put in mandatory left turn lanes on the left lane and certain sections as Muni only near Balboa BART. AND THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL AREA!!!! This guy is as tone deaf as Chesla Boudin and London Breed. Vote this guy out!!!!

I wonder if these people realize that pretty much every mayoral candidate (except Breed) this November said they would fire Tumlin. Patience?

I always felt there was something not right about this guy and seems others feel the same way. I ride and commute by bike ( doing it a long time) and never agreed with the way a lot of changes were made. Seems a lot of these changes just pit pedestrians, cyclists and motorists and now businesses more against each other. Seems like every time a fatality happens SFMTA just goes full on with making drastic changes that don't really work. Personally like standard parking, less commercial spaces, standard bike lanes and less signage and just more enforcement on existing traffic laws ( speeding red light violations etc) and public service messages emphasizing sharing the road, give people space ( 3 foot rule)
  • All the bike lanes are destroying San Francisco. Look at the recently paved bike lane on Lake Merced Blvd, causing the traffic congestions and unsafe driving conditions because of the narrow motor vehicle lanes

he should be fired. hes not listening to merchants and residents. hes funneling money to the bicycle coalition. he s using safety as an excuse.
  • The city sucks because of crime and drugs. Fine no cars after you fix the mortal danger in the streets. It's extremely unsanitary and dangerous

he says he serves at the pleasure of the board. but really he serves because hes pleasured the board. its the good old boy network that does favors for favors. start protesting sfmta board of directors.

Yeh, exactly, they added the bike lane because they wanna get rid of the cars. We need less cars and more people using public transit and bike. DUH! That's a good change. He should stay!!!!
