Fast forward to 2024, we’ve been married 34 years & we have 5 beautiful children. We’ve been through lots of ups and downs but in the end, I was with him, & it was so worth it. One day one of us will be listening to this alone & the other will be waiting in heaven.. but thank goodness I know that because of our faith in Jesus we will be together forever, in the end. 💕💕💕

I met the love of my life back in 89 (year this song was released)..she had to go back home to England so we were oceans apart...the lyrics to this song matched us perfectly as if Richard wrote it for us. We are still happily married to this day :-)

I was 15 years old when this song came out and my boyfriend was 20. He used to be a scalloper and be gone 6 months at a time. I was so in love with him. We married at 17 and 22 years of age. It lasted 8 years until he was put in prison and destroyed us. I will forever love him. He has a 30 year old son that he's never met. I never thought our love story would end in such a sad way. But he made bad choices and i moved on. Im now 50+ and im alone. Maybe I'll meet him in heaven someday and we can finally meet again and dance to this song. 😢💔
