Lena Horne’s DYING Words REVEAL Hollywood's ABUSE of Black Celebs.
Lena Horne is a pioneer in Hollywood and black entertainment. She was the first black person to sign a high-pay, long-term contract with one of the biggest movie production studios in Hollywood. Her success opened the way for many black actors who looked up to her, and she became a leading light in the industry. She had seen it all: the hardships, the rejections, the hard work, and the struggle, and she had conquered. She had fought the battle, and like the victor that she was, she could now share her experience with others, and she did.

She was not only a great beauty and talented but a role model and an inspiration. She classy, graceful and elegant and very intelligent. Rip MS. Lena.

Having worked with Lena on her 1981 Bway show. She was a fine lady; a fine singer ; and, a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. What a great lady. RIP Miss Horne.🌟

She passed looking good she looked like she never aged her hair just turn gray
  • Ms. Lena Horne was the epitome of beauty, brains, class, grace, talent, and style. It's ashamed that her parents wanted a boy first instead. It sounds like she went through so many changes just working to live out her dream and life's work. Hollywood writers, directors, producers and all that works behind the scenes are so greedy and filled with lists that so many hopes and dreams have been destroyed. All that glitters ain't gold.

Meet Ms. Horne one night after her one woman show in San Francisco. Ms. Horne was the BOMB!!! Not only was she more beautiful in person, she was a regally proud BLACK woman, down to earth and could and would cuss like a sailor!!! Loved, admired, appreciated her tenacity and fight for racial equality. Made me proud to be a Black woman. Ms. Horne was a one of a kind trailblazer.❤❤❤
  • Love Ms. Horne. Paying the price for knowing her worth with a full chest. 👊🏽❤️

The righteous must stand up and rice. We are on the way back. I’m up fighting and standing, Lord Yah Keep Giving Us Strength.

This lady was very beautiful! However no matter how light skinned, them folks treated her As any other dark skinned actor.
  • It didn't start with her, and neither has it ended with her. The struggle started way before Lena, and she was one who was able to maneuver through some of it. She opened doors for many who came who came after her. The strength that she possessed was also something that should be respected for. She carried herself in a respectful manner and helped up and comming black actors. She wasn't afraid to speak out for civil rights . When one wants to demean or deminish the struggles of the past just look at what those in the present are doing for the next generations.

Explained the negative rep I learned as a child. It was all a lie and nefarious. Same game being played today for the same reason--hatred of black folks.
