I love how in the cartoon, Tidal Wave is only marginally taller than the other Decepticons, yet in the Armada video game, he's Fortress f*cking Maximus.
-
"Tidal Wave has brought reinforcements" Tidal Wave doesn't bring reinforcements, he IS the reinforcements.
-
Ah yes nipple guns truly the pinnacle of giant robot weaponry.
-
man i like how he was actually the size of a fortress butas the show goes on he becomes smaller and only slightly bigger then your average UT transformer
-
I liked this guy it's a shame we don't see him in Media anymore
-
That animation sequence when he recombines is SICK
-
My favorite Decepticon. Tho' when I saw his Mirage form in Energon? I was like "Tidal Wave, what did they do to ya my man!?" XD lol.
-
Thank you Tidal Wave Appreciates
-
I love how everyone points out how Tidal Wave's size changes drastically in the Armada Cartoon yet this same exact thing happened many times on G1 as well😂
-
5:33 Now what’s he doing? (Transform & Combine) (Laughs) The Power is Mine!
-
Well what happened yesterday is the BIGGEST REVEAL! TIDAL WAVE TITAN CLASS!
-
Imagine if Broadside was also there to help the Autobots
-
I would love Hasbro to do a Titan Class Tidal Wave figure in Legacy.
-
Whoa Tidal Wave is huge
-
Am i the only one who wants to see tidal wave return in other transformers media i think it would be awesome seeing him fight omega supreme or metroplex
-
Tidal Wave will be a Titan Class from Legacy United
-
I'm surprised he hasn't been in more media, granted he's technically Shockwave (as evident by his Japanese name and the fact he's purple with yellow eyes) but still you don't that many boat Transformers let alone giant ones like Tidal Wave

I've been thinking recently that Tidal Wave, at least when he was first introduced, was what Trypticon should've been. A humanoid behemoth that would go toe-to-toe with Metroplex, instead of a dinosaur. He even has the same color scheme minus the teal accents. Trypticon's cool and all, but it's just odd that the Autobots had a city that turned into a dude but the Decepticons didn't. And thematically it works too. Metroplex is a city because the Autobots want to build a peaceful existence. Tidal Wave is a warship because all the Decepticons know is conflict and destruction.

He's hilariously small for a robot made from an aircraft carrier and two equally huge ships. The Armada game is the only time I've seen his size presented "realistically" (shame he's a pushover in his boss fight) And as a matter of personal taste I prefer his green Hasbro color scheme over the Takara purple, I feel it somehow suits the character more.

Autobots: Why do I hear boss music?
