He’s fast, humble and probably Australia’s most popular sprint car driver.

Western Australia’s Callum Williamson recently raced in the USA for the first time but it didn’t quite go to plan.

Callum joined Toby to chat about how the opportunity came to be and why it ended prematurely.

It’s certainly not all bad news though as Callum shared some exciting future plans for not only himself, but young crew chief Brodie Moller, too.

Callum’s humble character really showed when talking about what it was like having others drive his car and then stepping back in to race with America’s best this past Christmas.

He also shed more light on his injury which caused him to be out of the seat for 9 weeks at the beginning of his Australia season…

Pennsylvania Native right here. First 2 weeks in the Trone car - fastest I’ve seen anyone whip the 39 since Hodnett. Wrecked two cars by no fault of his own, then it got rough. I’d love to see him back in PA in a good ride, he’s definitely a wheelman!

What an awesome interview. Was just a little worried that whole experience may have dented a lesser person's confidence, turns out it was the best thing that could have happened. Bring on the Plex this year
  • Brilliant insight and great to hear encouraging news ahead. Thanks 👍👍💯

My favourite Aussie driver. Only this morning I was searching online to find out Callum's latest news...what a coincidence that this interview dropped now! All the best for 2024/25 both here and in the US. Great for Brodie too, a real bonus for him. Bring on next season's racing, can't wait.

Callum did you have the 5th covid needle?
  • Saw him race here in the US. Solid talent, but the Trone car isn't that quick.
