Crazy thing is that a few years later Shannon was surfing in a contest and was next to an another surfer who was attacked by a great white. He paddled over to help cause he remembered how he felt when everyone abandoned him during his attack.

This story reminds me of another story you did where the man was attacked by a shark, dragged himself to the car, stopped in the middle of nowhere for some water and was attacked by lions (and survived!). Guardian angels working overtime in both stories.

What are the odds of being attacked by two GW sharks at the same time? Is it as likely as lightning striking twice in the same spot... or being struck by lightning twice? Two large GW sharks is the stuff of nightmares. Great podcast Hal.

I haven’t been to Florida since 1993 and next month I’m going for 2 weeks. Thanks to Hal I am 1 person that won’t be swimming in the ocean ! Love the show Hal ! Keep up the solid work for us fans ! #SharksHappen 💪🏻💯

I got brushed on my leg by an unknown breed of shark, when I was 14. I only got a brief glimpse of it, but I swam to shore about 20 ‘ away. It was off the coast of South Carolina. I have not swam in the ocean since. From my memory of what I saw, it was a brief view, but I believe it was about 4 ‘ long. I do remember a feeling of terror. Lakes or pools are where I swim.

Another great single attack Hal. 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 White sharks also hunt the seals following the sardine run. Really great friends. And, Shannon actually ended up paddling over to assist a surfer who was attacked by a white shark a few years after his attack.
