Tornado warnings issued for Vance, Franklin & Granville counties: 100K+ without power in NC

A tornado warning has been issued for Vance, Franklin and Granville counties until 9:15 a.m. Thursday. Tornado warnings and watches are popping up across central North Carolina Thursday morning as Tropical Storm Debby makes its way to the Triangle.

Several counties are under a tornado watch until 1 p.m., including Cumberland, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Johnston, Nash, Sampson, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson counties. There were two confirmed tornadoes in North Carolina Thursday morning.
