  • City Seizure would end this nonsense. City seizes, repairs, sells at Auction. Easy Peasy. Also would end this cycle.
  • No. Seize the property. City brings it up to code and sells it at auction. THAT would put ALL the other slumlords on notice. Just.Do.it.

The landlord should file for bankruptcy and just surrender the building and let the city have it. Your city voted for this nonsense, then you should have to clean it up. I would just file and tell the city to take a hike. Every city that voted for this stupidity. SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT AND LIVE IN IT!!!!
  • Kyle is the best. I can’t name another anchor who speaks as honestly as he does. I don’t even live in Colorado.
  • Regarding undesirable tenants, the legislature has hog-tied landlords ability to give notice to vacate orders to bad tenants...those restraints need to be removed. As for the lack of maintenance, complete shame and responsibility lies with the landlord, management company, and the city.
  • A Venezuelan gang took it over. Thats fine landlord...I am sure you contacted law enforcement constantly letting them know a gang took over your property.

Apparently, a majority of the undesirable tenants and gang members caused the damage to the property ... Also not understanding if it was so bad why the tenants stay and continue renewing the leases ... There's plenty of apartment complexes in Aurora
