i feel so grateful that you have covered the story of abervan. I live in wales and it was a story I covered for my welsh history. The research I covered was heartbreaking and I remember many times I cried reading it at just 14 years old.

We live in a house on a steep hill. Probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. You're building departments and building codes don't cover how to build things on slopes such as those properly. They're more interested in tax revenue. Just like when the Secretary of State for Louisiana deleted the requirement for flood insurance in New Orleans just before the hurricane.

To say debris flow would be accurate but the Aberfan disaster was not a landslide. The flow came from a spoil heap from coal mining and so was not a part of the natural landscape per say....

Could “AI” help in these types of situations? Create a chaos fighter (non-humanoid) to either do soil prep thru burn areas…or just beautify it. Be creative in it.
