Build with me: Making a korok playground at the highest point on the map in TOTK

Published 2024-04-16
By viewer request: a behind the scenes look at the making of Korok Playground, my sky paradise at the highest point in Hyrule. Come see the testing, planning, traveling, failing, and trying again that went into creating this build. I had so much fun making this project.

Here are tutorial links for the glitches mentioned in the video:

Easy fuse entanglement method (first step in all following glitches), from Irachnid:
   • New, EASIEST 1.2.1 Fuse Entanglement ...

Q Linking (for current game version, use the fuse entanglement method above instead of what is shown in the video), from Minty FN:
   • TOTK Tutorials: Basic Quantum Link Me...

Recall locking, from Irachnid:
   • How to steal fusable minigame items i...

Stealing mini game items (needed for the bean bag pillows), from Irachnid:
   • How to steal fusable minigame items i...

This is my first time making this kind of video, so your feedback is appreciated. No koroks were harmed in the making of this film (because I do not believe that koroks take fall damage). Thanks for watching!

Hi, just wanted to say that 8 years old daughter (Lili) and I really enjoy your Korok Playground video, it´s very relaxing and we like to watch it every night before going to bed (the Chrono Trigger music also was a nice touch that takes me back). We´ve been playing Zelda every Saturday morning since she was 3, back then she only was able to move link around, but now she can take down a Talus and now she is even coming up with her own little theories about timelines and lore (she makes her dad proud lol).

A tip for you, if you attach a dragon scale to a connected build it will make the despawn radius way farther away, so you can leave your build in eldin and go to korok forest and it will still be there, just don’t teleport though.

I made it. It's meee, z! Hi Jane 😊🤙I'll have to sit down and watch this in depth, not 2 minutes before rushing off to work. Herrrgh. 🤪 A quick thought: Nintendo should pay you to design settings and towns. 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/H0tmeat here! idk where my initial comment went about my username, but h0tmeat is used as my ~secret nerd reddit username~ so my hot garbage nerdiness is hidden from my IRL colleagues~ -i was not expecting THIS amount of detail in your editing for a how-to video, oh my lord. I adore you. I must have watched this three times in a row because it is just absolutely WAY too entertaining and charming for its own good; It’s like youve been doing this for YElARS because the quality is MWWAH! dare id say you shoud sell your soul and become a full fledged youtuber because THIS IS IT. YOU ARE A NATURAL AND IT’S SCARY. Your attention to detail, especially with the swing and the fairy lights have yet again inspired me to look at items in a different way. NO FREAKING WAY you used a horse this whole time to transport!! “horse stops too abruptly” and “horse steps in the fire” had me smiling because ALL THIS TIME you have been using adorably your horse which REALLY speaks to us “horse girls” like it’s in our DNA to insist on using the frustrating but lovely horses, but also making sure to immediately ~vibe~ at the second you hear that music?? Also need to know the horse name, such an important part of your build!! HOW DARE YOU USE YOUR HORSE OMFG IM STILL SCREAMING???? CASUALLY 100 ROCKETS LATER BEING ROLLED OFF BY A ROCKET / DROPPING A KOROK THROUGH THE HELL HOLE/ STARTING OVER/RECALL LOCKING THE LIGHTS??? How much patience do you have??? What IS your diagnoses???? No wonder your builds are incredible and so so so unique, it not only takes attention to detail/artistic thoughts/ability to organize and visualize various mediums like shape/material/size/light/color where they aesthetically fit together, you have to have the nerdiness to use a few easy glitches/serious understanding of the game/immeasurable amount of love and patience, I’d say more than any zeldatuber or speedrunner or engineer I have seen yet. I dont know where to stop. I really dont. How utterly inspiring. PS WHY HAVE YOU NOT POSTED THIS ON HYRULE ENGINEERING!!!! THEY NEED THIS HOW-TO!!

I really hope that your channel gets the love it deserves! It’s been way too long since a Zelda-tuber with fresh ideas came through my feed.

Wow, this is so sweet! You've got such a fun and creative approach to TOTK! It's so refreshing to see something that's not speed running or challenge runs. You've also got such a soothing voice and approach to this explanation. Hope you can pull off more impressive builds!
