As someone who lost 400 points after watching the how to get to 1200 video this is very helpful
  • Ive recently started playing chess for the first time, ive learnt a few good openings (the Vienna game and the london system) and ive decided to show my disabled brother the basics of chess and thanks to your videos he has learned the basics of chess and ive been able to show him how to play better, i really appreciate how much effort you put into your videos, i like how you explain every single move in depth so everyone can have an idea at what both players are doing and how they can implement that into their own games. Much love man 🙏

Hi Levy. Yours are the first how-to videos my daughter and I discovered. We are not great at chess but learning! Being the father of a 13-year old daughter I want to thank you for putting your skills out there. We have been watching your videos and my daughter has greatly elevated her game. She is growing in confidence and her love of chess! Appreciate you and your advice!
  • Thank you Levy, now that I gained 500 elo I feel confident to try and go beyond 600 elo, thank you very much!
  • @xantiii9356
As a low elo player, this is helpful. I don't know much about openings so watching Levy discuss one is a fun way to learn.
  • Hey Levy, I just wanted to let you know that please don't stop your educational videos. The way you explain a move and the idea behind a move helps build the reasoning axioms when it comes t playing chess and has definetely made me get better. You've got a fan in SOyth Africa
  • @Herskjakenn
I would really love it if you made some more chess history videos. A video on the Viswanathan Anand-Vladimir Kramnik world championship would be awesome
  • Hey Gotham, I don't know how often you check the comments, but I wanted to thank you. This previous year, I had a pretty severe head injury and couldn't walk (TBI), let alone play chess. I'm rated roughly 1300 and just took 3rd place in my state tournament, thanks to your videos getting me back to the board. As this is my senior year of high school, it means a lot. Thank you

Time stamps. 0:00 = 7/10 stare 0:50 = Starting 1:28 = why c3 1:50 = what if Be5 after c3? 2:50 = what if d6 instead of Be5? (there are traps in this line) 3:25 = second best move after c3 which is Nf6 and what to do against it? Nf6 lines: - 4:14 = Nasty trap in the Nf6 line. - 6:34 = other lines with Nf6. - 7:23 = Another line with Nf6 with what to do against Qe7 pinning the pawn. 7:56 = What to do against the best move against c3, that is d5. 9:10 = Another nasty trap. These time stamps are for the chess moves. P.s : I accidently deleted it but thankfully ctrl Z exist. Edit: i accidently wrote e3 instead of c3
  • @TheSadasar
just getting back into chess and finally starting to try and learn actual principles and openings and loving your videos so far.
  • I work night-shift and play a LOT of chess on my phone, played about 3000 games the last year. My rating has been STUCK around 700, wavering up and down with really no momentum forward. I watched this Ponziani opening and BAM, my rating is up to over a 900 in less than 24 hours. My goal is to get up to 1200 ELO and now that I've found your channel i think I can get it done. Thanks man!
  • @yusuff5513
Thank you levi, now I have achieved 500 elo. Going from 1500 to 500 is such a huge accomplishment.
  • @ItzRealBoy
Timestamps: The video starts at 00:00 The video ends at 25:29 No need to worry guys, I got you with these awesome timestamps!
  • Thank you for your content. I've been out of the game for a long time, and watching your videos as a way to de-rust and jog my memory back. I think I actually did this opening, or something very similar, when I was in high school. The two pawn, two knight position looked very familiar to me. I can't wait to dig out my best chess set, and dive back into the game.
  • @Anbdhsuw
Please keep doing more educational content like openings theory and strategies aswell as entertaining content I’ve missed the more educational stuff and I know it’s less profitable but its great for the newer players who want to learn more also congrats on winning chess streamer of the year
  • @TheEvilEgo
Thank you for this one. Just getting started with chest opening. Really great for beginners!
  • Gotham you have done it again. Astonishing and brilliantly communicated. Highly entertaining And I'm very impressed with the Ponziani 🎉👏
