If my math is right your Roxanne attempt is less than a 1% chance of all the flinches and misses. So very lucky and very insane.
-
Hidden power: With the fact you don't choose your DVs/IVs, it'd be a bit bad for a tierlist like your gen 1 one, but for an impossibles run I see 0 problem with it
-
That Roxanne win was absolutely perfection
-
At 26:41 Lunatone attacked Zubat because when the AI estimated the damage for Psychic, it rolled a favorable range against Zubat and saw a KO on both targets, causing it to choose randomly.

I love the hoenn elite four. Sidenigh, fuebbe, glaseeyah, and dracky are all super cool. Their champion Stevine Stahnee is amazing too
-
Such a punch in the gut they buffed Leech Life like crazy in Gen 7 then instantly gave Zubat absorb instead
-
So the odds of Nosepass either getting flinched or missing rock tomb is 38.75% on a single turn. For that to happen for 6 turns in a row (7, but we're not counting the potion) would be a 0.34% chance. Its not really important to find the odds of exactly miss-miss-flinch-miss-miss-flinch or w/e because we don't really care about any specific order, just that Nosepass was unable to move for 6 turns.

It's strange how Zubat only has a worse and worse time as each gen progresses despite the many advancements and possible strategies that come with each generation.

Casual 1% encounter at 10:34 Volbeat was my last Hoenn entry on Ruby. This was before I had easy access to the internet so I thought my game was bugged so that Volbeat wouldn't spawn lol. I still remember which patch of grass I spawned her in.

The Zubat videos are some of my favorite. It feels like it somehow gets worse more and more even though it should have more tools every gen.

Hidden Power can be a lifesaver in solo runs depending on the Pokémon and the type, but pretty much only in cases of awful matchups in specific battles. When I was putting together my personal project of solo runs in Platinum, I put Hidden Power in the category of "crutch" -- moves or items that tend to help weaker runs more than stronger runs -- which led me to avoid using it when possible and adjust the run's ranking downward if I couldn't get past certain battles at a reasonable level without it.
-
I think for any "impossible" runs you should be aloud to have max IVs/whatever hidden power youd like. To say any challange is truly impossible it has to be under 100% optimal conditions.

A Jrose11 video on my birthday? AND it opens with the Count?? AND it’s over an hour??? Magnificent. Utterly magnificent. Thanks for all the hard work you and your editor do!
-
A quiet benefit of Gen 1 & 2 was that because of the way that Stat Experience worked, there was no such thing as detrimental experience grinding. Afterwards, you even out in a way that makes your pokemon less tanky. It wouldn't surprise me if this Zubat was worse than a non-badge boost glitched Gen 1 Zubat.
-
your pronunciations of the elite 4 members was spot on, thanks for taking our criticisms!
-
I actually really like the whole Zubat line, so I'd be more than happy to see you run them in every gen. (Even if it's just Zubat)
-
A whole playlist of zubat vs each pokemon generation would be pretty awesome tbh, if your up to that task, assuming zubat is in the generation anyway
-
Preemptively commenting that I hope the Count Dracula counts show up a few times in this video. Love the content as always!
-
Killing me with these elite 4 names 😆
-
Phweb is killing me man. Sydny and Drakey are great too, but Phweb is just iconic mispronunciation. I'm totally naming some ghost type Phweb at some point Edit: 51:02 From this day forth I will forever call Steven Stone, Steveen Stany
