No one talks about Obito’s acceptance of Rin’s love for Kakashi, even through all of Obito’s pain and love for Rin he never dilutes her memory, never pretends a more suitable version of her just for himself. When that “I love you Kakashi” from Rin hits, it’s hitting harder than all the fights of their lives. It’s Obito as always being selfless in his fight to end all pain brought by the shinobi world, so he may fade away finally.

beautiful edit. Obito's words are genuine and his pain is understandable but I still always find it weird Obito once tried to destroy Konoha, like I understand the plan he had but why not just taking Kurama for your project and that's it, my problem with his character that at some point he enjoyed evil deeds like smiling when Sasuke stabbed Karin or when he was about to kill Kushina with the nine tails...just not making any sense
