Hi, I’m Frank from the Walking for Health and Fitness Website - here are my 21 benefits of walking for health and fitness.

I began walking as a way to overcome a back injury and while walking to get back into shape so I could run again, I fell in love with walking. I enjoy the sensation of my arms and legs moving in a cross-patterned movement. When I’m in the groove, I slip into a meditative state that is calming and puts me in a great frame of mind

My dad died on the 23.02.2024, he could live a lot longer. And I started walking everyday since his death and it helped me to stay mentally healthy and sane. I sleep better now, and feel more energetic than before. At this point I only walk 5-7000 steps a day, but the health benefits are already there and amazing. ❤

You said you were depressed when you started walking. That's what I needed to hear. I'm taking meds but it isn't working at all. So I need to start walking. Thanks a lot for this video.

I really love walking. I am so glad more and more videos about walking exist online. It can never be understated.
  • Me and my wife started walking when we got married and moved from abroad to the Netherlands. We combine it with our regular visits at the sport school. Since the second lock down in December, we strive to walk every day between 30 and 60 minutes in a high pace. We must confirm all the mentioned benefits in this video, combining with a very healthy life style when it comes to food etc. So, wish you a happy walking from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

I used to HATE walking. Then i was diagnosed with breast cancer this past February. I joined the Y and walked the treadmill. Now the weather is nice so i dumped the Y and walk in the park. An hour before work then 3 miles after. On the weekends we bike in the am and walk in the pm. I have never felt this good in many years. I'm 58 and feel 40. I'm thinner than ive been in 30 years. Its amazing
  • Walking provides one significant benefit: you will slowly watch nature, your surroundings and will be astonished how much you can learn about your neighborhood

Walking daily for 30 to 60 minutes, I also experienced that walking improves back pain. Also, when you have a dog, specially an energetic dog as mine, you must walk daily, no excuse possible!
  • @denaj6711
I've walked on and off. We just happened to visit Disneyland recently and after 12 hours in the park did 15,000 steps. The next day I woke up feeling great, no pain in joints, felt like a 20 year old. Was amazing!

As my cardiac surgeon said to me after he had performed a TAVR procedure on me, "Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. " ❤

67 yrs young,, started walking about 3 yrs ago. Constant challenge but too stubborn to stop. At different times have been in tremendous cardio shape,, getting it all back, within reason.
