This song is everywhere to the point where last weekend, I was in my local skating rink and my floor guard played Not Like Us and almost everyone on the floor was going crazy lmao 😭
  • Back to Back, I liked that record. Imma get back to that "for the record." Now Kendrick has literally broken Drakes record and then some with NOT LIKE US.

In essence, Not Like Us is meant to be a West Coast anthem made by a guy who grew up in the West Coast. Beyond anything personal that Kendrick has said in meet the grahams or euphoria, Kendrick is essentially putting this song out to showcase that while Drake can make a song that hypes up the West Coast, Kendrick makes a song that unites the West Coast, due to him having a deeper and more personal understanding of the culture of his city and state than Drake will ever have. And by God did he succeed in that.

The Afrobeats version!?!? I’m done 😂🤣🤣🤣

The fact he got so many easter eggs people will be going back over his lyrics for a long time, the fact he had professors break his stuff down, the fact that teachers came out saying students were intelligently breaking down the lyrics to other students in the schools, the fact that there are multiple cultural song versions like the afrobeats one, that a dissinstrumental from metro the bbl drizzy beat, has multicultural versions and has people from all instruments covering it, its amazing what he has done. Kendricks diss tracks charted the whole top 5 of the Billboard charts. He knocked Taylor Swift out of the top 5. Was #1 in 40 countries including Toronto. He wore reactors out dropping so much in a day they could barely sleep. When quiet people tell you to leave them alone, leave them alone. Can you imagine the other work he had prepared, he said he could go further. If UMG punk arse didnt jump in to tell Kendrick to stop beefing with Drake because they were losing money. Kendrick should have said F that and made them make Drake apologize publicly. I think it was rumoured he had a massive collab that would have blown it through the roof. Some people have so much talent and potential. Kendrick selflessly even letting youtubers eat from the hate is amazing on top of that. Watching generations, people and their parents, and all races and genre lovers listening and trying to understand his references is just awesome. Drake cancelled his shows, sold his houses, faked a hoax for sympathy, got himself investigated for fake companies doing that, got all his dark secrets exposed, you cant convince me he didnt run crying to his label to make kendrick stop, probably wore out his ghostwriters trying to keep up with kendrick, probably go broke paying off people to not come forward, and moved to another country all because he messed with the wrong man.
