Hello everyone a bit of food for thought.
How often do you consider that tree in the empty block over the road with the wide hollow being an eye saw or a danger of some sort? Do you complain to a council and say " That needs to be removed" without considering that it may be one of a few tree hollows used to produce the next generation of birds we need.
Big or small birds their home is in that old fruit tree you can no longer be bothered with during Autumn, that towering gum that might drop a limb, is there any harm in chopping it halfway and allowing time and nature to create new homes from it? Not everything in life is perfect so why do you feel that you should have so much control over the wildlife habitats, are you playing God, deciding who stays and who goes?
Is money the real reason? A quick profit?
Just a thought......leave nature to do its thing. Learn how to live with it, not control it.
Stay safe everyone.
