"So you want to buy a Cessna 414A. We all have at some point. Here's a little reenactment of anyone who's ever been plane shopping. Yeah.. Yup... I can make this happen." I feel seen.
  • @Fang70
With these large aircraft it would be interesting to see a cost per seat mile category as well
  • I flew 421s and 404s early in my flying career. They can be maintenance hogs but both airplanes were so much fun to fly. There is an amazing 414 in Microsoft Flight Simulator where shock cooling and high operating costs aren't an issue.

So you want to buy a Cessna 414A? No. I donā€™t. But I love these videos, so Iā€™m watching anyways.
  • You should have a metric that's basically just "How many years of average costs do you need to save to buy the plane?" In this case... About 3 years.

I love these planes that have 8 seats, but can only carry maybe three people if you have your tanks full. It's like a tent- multiply how many people you need to fit in one by 3.

Thanks for all the uploads of these! Very early stages of airplane buying and you have given me so much insight into the world!! Top notch!

The first 15 seconds really hit the nail on the head. šŸ˜‚
  • I flew a 414A chancellor for survey. Rock solid instrument platform, RAM modifications gave it excellent power, fairly reliable but it was never 100% operating perfectly. But I will say, if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
  • It would be interesting to see a cost and capability comparison between 414 and 441, Navajo and Cheyenne. Wonder how much extra cost are those turbine engine going to add.

I commented on the R22 for this one and now here it is! Not saying itā€™s because I asked, but thank you! Big fan! Hopefully you go to EAA this year, they have a YouTuber/influencer area, would be cool to see the channel represented

Great video, as always! Can you do one on the Cessna 340A?
  • @pigeon4208
You know, since the Martin Mars water bomber is currently for sale, I think you need to do a video on that. You know, to help out the potential buyers
  • As a AME on a 340 can confirm they are a maintenance pig that has a lot of old moving parts that are now getting harder and harder to get my hands on
  • @Theover4000
Would you do more kit planes? Would love to see cost to own and service for some stuff like Titan 51 airframes, or the WAR aircraft replica kits. Otherwise, love your videos!
  • @braincraven
And now some more lines. If you could only give presentations like that at the office! Brilliant
