This song was sung at my Great Grandmother's Funeral, she lived to age 93, I'll never forget what little time we spent together and the stories of family and history and my Great Grandfather's War stories on the Pacific Front. Never forget, and if you can, listen, for it may be their last words. Rest in peace Grandma, I'll never forget you, ever.

  • I lost my brother 3 weeks ago. I will never forget the last day I saw him alive. We were on the same plane heading over to Afghanistan, he was in the army, I am in the Air Force. As he left to go to his FOB I hugged him and said 'be safe...... I will see you soon. I love you' I fly rescue choppers and the on the Thursday of the 3rd week over there we got s call that a friend had stepped on an IED. I had a really bad feel about this call that I didn't usually have, so I got there and the medics went to go and fetch him. And when that got back I looked back to see if everyone was ready and I saw my brothers face. I have never flown as fast as I did that day..... But I wasn't fast enough he still died in hospital. I feel like it's my fault for not being fast enough. And now I will never be able to hear his voice again or hug him or anything like that...... Mom and dad I am so sorry that I couldn't do anything... I LOVE AND MISS YOU BRO :,'(((((
  • Im an old soldier, I seved many years ago. I was a fortunate one, my life was spared. However, many of my fellow soldiers were not so fortunate. Let us never forget that freedom isn't free.

My grand father served over seas during Vietnam and whenever i hear this song it instantly brings me to tears. Thank you for your service. He passed in his sleep very peacefully. Yes its hard that a family member so close is gone but i know he is not in pain anymore. God simply decided it was his time and to relieve him of his pain.
