  • Then, everything changed when the non-benders, bloodbenders, waterbenders, airbender, lavabender, and metal benders attacked
  • "The stuff that happens with Zaheer and the Earth Queen took my breath away" YOU-

They should've done more with General Iroh, he's like a one time thing
  • @lm86531
My biggest problem with this show was adult Aang's characterisation. He went from the sweetest fun-loving kid ever to being pretty cold and serious. I get that he'd been through a lot but I expected him to be more like Bumi and Iroh in his old age

The irony that Zuko’s family was a mess in ATLA but in LOK he’s the only one with a stable family.
  • The fact that the writers gave ZHAO closure and NOT SOKKA still offends me.

There is a theory that the handful of people that become airbenders due to the spirit shenanigans in season 3 is due to them having been descendants of surviving air nomads. It really wouldn’t make sense that the entire culture of NOMADS would all be at their temples at the same time to all be wiped out by the fire nation, so it’s likely some survived and laid low in the Earth Kingdom, which is the place they find all these new airbenders. I think that makes a lot more sense than them just randomly having the powers from naught, one example of this kinda being at play is Bumi.

Varrick is amazing. When I originally watched Korra he was constantly going all the way around the "I love you or hate you" clock. Like he's constantly looping around from "ugh Varrick" to "YEAH VARRICK" to ". . . Varrick" to "VARRICK!" and eventually he ended up like going around the clock 20 times and ending on "I fucking love you Varrick"

What made Sokka funny was the contrast between his overly mature, sarcastic and intelligent side with his goofy, fun-loving side.

“Tenzin is the best character”. No lies detected.
  • How dumb was I when I was a kid and saw Korra and Asumi walk into the sunset holding hands to live their lives together and I thought, "Man they're pretty good friends"
  • I always thought Mako should have more of a serious backstory. I mean, think about it. On the surface, he's a character who had ties with city gangs and tried to keep his brother out of the gang only to become a cop later himself and be accused of being a dirty cop! That sounds interesting, yet somehow it manages to be completely boring. Because he never did anything wrong; he was only a bookkeeper, so he didn't need redemption anyway. Despite his background, he immediately accepts Asami trying to make him over and hand everything to him. And when he winds up in prison, the brother he helped raise just basically ignores him and goes off to start an acting career. STUPID!
  • "A boyfriend so terrible, he turned 2 of his girlfriends gay", is now my official description for anyone asking what I think of Mako.

Schaffield: “Very Childish and not for me.” >was literally a child at the time.

The moment I knew season 3 would hit different than season 2 was when Tenzin had the really emotional moment with his kids about there being new air benders and wishing aang could be around to see it. Not only was it just a super sweet and touching moment, but it also is one of those moments that really taps into that feeling I get whenever I watch ATLA. That whole arc gave me the same feeling I got watching aang truly mature and come into his own as the avatar, making genuine change and peace in peoples lives. It was the first time Korra and us, the audience, ever really got to see what her actions can do for people and it was a really strong story beat.
  • @cupofcoco05
also, can we talk about how amazing the LOK soundtrack is??!?! i get chills when i listen to it.
  • Don't forget Cabbage corp, that was the single best joke in the series.
  • @DrAwe-fi6we
"Nickelodeon treated this show terribly" That should go without saying. Not just with this show but just about any property they own.
  • Here's my opinion. Avatar the last airbender: an absolutely phenomenal series with interesting characters, an intimidating line of villains with interesting motives, and a great message. Legend of Korra: Phenomenal... Mostly. Its obviously not as good as ATLA, and I never expected it to be, but it's still a really fun and enjoyable watch. I'd recommend it.
  • Bolins the only part of team avatar I like fully. I think he's unique enough from sokka. He's a lot more sensitive and in touch with his emotions but macho unironically when sokka is the opposite in both.
