Okay so first of all, I’m sorry for the lack of uploads lately! Hope you guys enjoy this absolute riff salad 🤘💁‍♂️
  • @Steven-wp1hw
This really shows how important the writing is and how unimportant the tuning can be. Some of these parts are nasty af (in a good way, of course)!
  • @bdof1
Using inverted chords at times really gives it the illusion that it’s tuned lower than it sounds. Incredible playing.

In my wildest dreams I imagine being able to record something this fucking crisp. Jesus christ dude this guitar recording is studio quality.
  • I personally have always found D Standard or Drop C to be that perfect middle ground where the tuning gives it a natural heaviness/edge. Anything can sound heavy if written well obviously

Sylosis has proven time and time again that E standard can still sound insanely good! Killer riffs, man!
  • @Tatted-ne7tu
Old school guy here, still in E( mostly) and still use a valve head with pedals. Just wanted say that you youngsters have really done a great job of playing the instrument in new and creative ways. This was fun to watch, well done.

The thing I like most about this vs the really low stuff is how clean it sounds and how you can really hear the notes. Still heavy af, still metal. Still 100% modern. Too easy to just super drop tune and just chug. This is epic

Okay, I can assure you this is not what I was expecting, but you've blown me away, what the fuuuuuuuu, the way you build chords and these lead melodies is just insane.
  • @quinism1136
This riff is sick. I'd probably go insane if I saw this performed this perfectly live
  • @onerageyboi9801
this really just goes to show how important musical context is and the writing and creativity over the actual tuning and little things like that. well done this fucking slaps man.
  • @xJM1993
I really like your agressive/melodic playing style! I don't know why but it feels so groovy and different than most players/bands i listen to! You should really consider making an instrumental album, pretty sure a lot of us would listen to that daily!

Brutal shreddage. Bulletproof rhythm and virtuostic solos. Hard to a master of both but this guy sold his soul for sure. What an absolute beast!
  • @StephenChapman
Guitar has come so far that even just the riffs are like mini-leads now, lol. Killer playing, dude, and point proven! My go-to song for killer, heavy standard riffing is "Blackened". I know Metallica is old news, but that song really holds up!
  • @johnnyg666
Holy hell man, that was absolutely insane. The riffs were incredible and the melodies were super satisfying. Once again you inspire me to go pick up my guitar and jam. We need a solo album asap. Superb playing good sir!
  • @bombproofrazor
The Dillinger Escape Plan who was arguably one of the heaviest metal acts played all their tracks in E standard
  • @MrDazed
There is a difference between sounding heavy and sounding low. Heaviness comes from the emotions behind the notes.
  • @gerben880
man those palm mutes at 0:38 just hit that much harder when surrounded by the frantic playing that surrounds it. great stuff!
