Mack 10: Westside Connection Broke Up After Ice Cube's Brother-in-Law Got Beat Up (Part 7)

Had the luxury of giving this gentleman's son a few lessons in baseball years ago. Just a nice, down to earth guy. He struck me as a good father, well involved and interested in the things his son was. Celebrities were nothing new in this particular area of California, and Mac 10 was one of many Celebrities that entrusted us with the fundamental development of their children, but Mac was different. I was in between combat deployments looking to stay busy with my down time when Mac brought his son in. A well behaved and respectful boy. We trained for an hour, Mac stayed the entire time, encouraging his son, giving positive feedback the entire time. I remember his boy had this look of absolute joy on his face every time he'd do something well. Mac would just smile back and nod his head. We talked a bit afterwards. About us both being soldiers. Life, the struggle, he even took time to pose for pictures with regular patrons. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this man. Not because of his career accolades, but because given what he came from.........he beat the struggle. I wish Mac 10 and his family nothing but the best✌
