This video is made in accompaniment with a blog review article here: robinwong.blogspot.com/2019/10/olympus-om-d-e-m5-m…

I am an Olympus Visionary, and the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III was loaned from Olympus Malaysia. My opinion is subjective, and this is a user experience based review.

I have tested the E-M5 Mark III in various shooting conditions, fast paced tennis tournament, night street shooting, insect macro photography and even birding, which I do once in a pink moon.

Special thanks to many friends who helped out with behind the scenes footage:

After four years of extensive use, I have become a dedicated Em5 Mk2 fan and now a dedicated Robin Wong fan. Love your approach Robin. As a 70+ travel photographer I ditched all my heavy Canon gear and get remarkable stills and video from this fun-to-use camera. Just returned from shooting in Georgia and Armenia. Wow! I always shoot with a lightweight tripod and reckon it gives me total control and ultimate clarity. Biggest criticism is the start-up lag, especially shooting in RAW. Has that been improved? I am an Aussie by birth but grew up in Penang through the 50's. Still love Malaysia. Keep up the good work.

I want you to do tutorial on “talking with a beautiful smile all the time” that’s incredible.

I love the chill photo breaks sprinkled throughout your videos. Wonderful work

Dear Robin, I bought the original EM5 after reading your articles. I loved it, and I loved the fact that backpacking in the mountains it was so light and small. I just gave that one to my granddaughter after the EM 5 iii came out, after reading and watching your articles on it. The improvement in dynamic range is significant and was one of the primary reasons for my change. I am quite happy with it, and I appreciate your help in getting both of these properly set up to start! With the 25mm 1.8 it is almost as portable as my iPhone. Thus, I can carry it with me most of the time. I don’t miss full frame.
  • @robin Wong .. how much max burst we can achieve with 10mach / 30 silent shutter before the buffer get full? i am really looking to upgrade my 5Mii to iii ..

Been following your blog for years now and IMHO you're one of the best photographers out there and I do love how you make your reviews, no fanboyism, no click bait, with actual output of how the camera will perform, and less BS! I still think your Pentax 645Z review is one of the best. Hope that you get more YouTube subscribers because you deserve it.

Thanks for the videos. Love the enthusiasm. Just watched your original e-m5 video. Just bought mark1 after 7 yrs lol.
  • Excellent review, with honest assessments of the camera's and your own 'limitations'! Beautiful photos of the tennis tournament, birds, and of course the cat dismounting the automobile. I'm now a subscriber.
  • Another honest review, can't wait for a fuller and more extensive test, especially with all the amazing features it has. Thanks Robin !

Possibly the best "true / all-in" review you have done. Thank you, Robin.
  • Love the review, Robin Wong. Love your enthusiasm and the beautiful images you had captured. Subscribed!
  • Very nice review, practical with many pictures to document your claims. I really like the way you demonstrate the capability and the features of the camera. Thank you.

Thanks, Robin. A great review so soon about the E-M5 III. I also like your assessment against the E-M1 II.

Love your photo at 23:32 of the yellow bird. Amazing shot. Thanks for the review and looks like it might be time to finally upgrade my em5ii. Now it's just a matter if I want the EM1ii or this one.

I enjoy your reviews. They are always honest, thorough and practical. If I was in the market for the Oly Em5 miii your review offers enough to make the decision.
