People don't show enough appreciation for hairdressers. They really are artists.

I've chased this haircut for years, my aunt had this in the 70's when I was small and I always thought it was so beautiful however, I have not found anyone who can cut this style. I will take this video with me to the shop and see if I can't get this for myself after all this time

You gotta admire hairdressers šŸ‘šŸ» what they do is far more technical than you'd think šŸ¤”

Watched this tutorial a few months ago and used a razor instead and literally cut the most beautiful shag cut on my client. Literally got so many clients because of this tutorial thank you! You're amazing.

This is how I wore my hair in the 70's and continue to do so in my 60's. Such a beautiful hairdo.

My personal opinion is you can learn technique all day long but you either have the gift to cut hair or not...this man has a gift!

Omg I was crazy enough to do this on myself!!! Iā€™m so in love!!!! It revived my curls and it looks beautiful straight. If you are thinking about it do it!! Thank you so much for your beautiful easy to follow video!! šŸ˜€

When we used to cut this style back in the 70ā€™s we put all the hair neatly and evenly in a ponytail on the very top of the head and cut the hair off right above the elastic if a shorter shag was wanted or cut it an in or three above the elastic . As you take it down you get even layers all the way down in all directions. Then we trimmed the bangs and the back a bit to give a little fullness at the edges, cleaned up the look. Better to cut longer to start, you can always do it again if you want it shorter. This was for friends and family,in the salon we did it more like this because people were paying money for our time. Same result . Works amazing on curly hair.
  • I was an apprentice hairdresser in mid 70s and had my hair cut very similar to this.. it was razor and ā€œtapered cutā€ razor was always used on wet hair and tapering was always on dry. šŸ˜ I am dying to have my hair cut like this again.. love it. šŸ˜

I wish hairdressers like you were here in Canada, wow, it is an art to see you working

You are the best hair cutter Iā€™ve ever seen in my life

This guy is a true artist. I watch these videos purely for the zen feeling.
  • @morgannewood
Iā€™ve grown my hair down to my butt with the intent of getting it all one length, but this cut is so beautiful šŸ˜ oh well, hair grows back!

Finally! An educator who actually explains what's the impact of the techniques he chooses for the cut instead of just a to do list. Lovely, you earned a subscriber.

This is the best shag I've seen, hands down. Thanks for showing me a better way to give this look to my clients. They'll certainly appreciate it!
