can't wait to see "markiplier presents: cave crawler" in a couple years where markiplier plays a small robot
  • @UnimportantUser
Mark: scans rock Rock: Carlos Mark: Understandable, have a nice day
  • @mystery_continues
11:25 Markiplier: "I found a body!" Head disappears "Someone else found a body, too. Well, good for you." 💀

22:49 The ‘delineation on what is and isn’t a team member’ is that team members are actual Company employees who take wrapped-up bodies down to the caves and plant them so the spores can turn them into crystals. The wrapped-up bodies are meant to be turned into crystals, not the team members themselves.

I often play Markiplier as background noise because I find him weirdly soothing. The double take I did at the quote, “really wish these tentacles would stop tickling my trundle.”

So nice of Mark to play a game that perfectly represents the daily lives of his fans. We are all cave crawlers here, Mark.. and now you've experienced it first hand.
  • We need more horror games like this Slow burn horror that focuses more on the world building and story than jumpscares Or at least uses jumpscares more sparingly

The bottom yellow text at 18:42 ("4F 43 45 41 4E") translates to "OCEAN" in hexadecimal The objective at 24:27 ("46494E442054484520434F5245") translates to "FIND THE CORE" also in hexadecimal

For anyone else who's wondering, the GPS coordinates at 29:00 point to these locations: 1. North Slope, Alaska, USA 2. Monroe County, Florida, USA 3. Literally the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

Lixian’s fast forward edit is so nice being able to see what happened instead of just skipping to the next interesting part

Mark: sees dead body torn to shreds Mark: "You good, buddy?"
  • I’ve been listening to Mark’s videos as a lullaby almost every night for about 3-4 years now. There is nothing in this world that makes me feel more safe than this man’s voice, even if it’s a horror game he’s playing. He’s just my comfort person, and I’m so glad I found him. Mind you, I’m 20 years old and I started watching him when I was like 12 or 13, but in the last few years I started having some troubles sleeping- and nothing helped. Fortunately, Mark’s voice is just so soothing, that I’m pretty sure I shuffled thru his entire channel at least 5 times by now. I’m just glad that I found him. 💜

This game does a very good job of making you feel very isolated. There was no music just the sounds of your drone....and whatever else was in the cave

The yellow Codes in game are Hexadecimal to ASCII Codes, the yellow one in the bottom left Corner translates to "OCEAN", the final crawler mission objective translates to "FIND THE CORE". The coordinates on the last screen are: 68°19'43.5''N 160°49'07.9''W this is a mountain range in Alaska, 25°17'26.7''N 80°59'26.6''W is somewhere in the Whitewater Bay in the very south of Florida and 55°50'07.8''N 26°46'10.6'''W is somewhere in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Watching mark randomly holler into the dark caves to see if anybody is there is way more immersive than it should be.

I remember having recurring dreams of being lost in places like this when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I'd get chased by things like demons or mutant organisms while frantically crawling on my stomach through tight twists and turns to get away. I would always die.
  • @zephyr1249
Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely excited for Iron Lung and I’m so proud to hear about all the production that went into it, but damn is it nice to have regular Markiplier videos again. I really missed watching them
  • @SirAsdf
I like how every indie horror game he plays from now until the end of time will have the undercurrent of "is he gonna turn this into a movie too?"
  • @evancampos9870
The little red glowing thing that floated in front of the camera suddenly terrified me more than anything else for some reason
  • @MTG9745
That jumpscare timed into the ad was just.. Lixian you’re too good 😂😭
