Cowboy Camping ALONE In The Desert

Published 2020-02-25
March Cowboy camping in the desert on my mule. I ride out looking for a new area for me and the hounds. We end up laying out overnight. Part 1 of 2

I like being out and seeing the country and following the hounds while they cold trail in mostly roadless country . I know when I do get on the short end of the track the hounds will do their best to catch the lion if I'm in a place that it is possible .. so many variables enter into it .... I would catch more if I ran camera grids or dragged roads or drove roads in an area that snowed ..

Here yo see what it's really like to trail and hunt Mountain Lions in the Desert Southwest on Mules or Horses. You will see the hardships, the miles and the adventure involved in this style of hunting. You will see the love and care we have for our hounds. The training and care provided for our dogs as we provide them with the opportunity to do what they were bred to do. Training and care for our mules and hounds as we progress in our education of this sport. Come along the journey with me as I learn and you can learn right along with me on this quest I have to become a true dry ground lion hunter.

  • DALE LEE WHAT A MAN.BROKE THE MOLD WHEN HE WAS MADE. I’ve always believed that when we talk about people that are no longer with us anymore that they hear it then that is how they truly live on.

Long day living is better than long day sitting. Onward and upward.

I’m filled with envy. Thanks for letting us enjoy your travels.
  • What a great job you do bringing us right with you and the hounds. Do love your Mules too. The story telling is also so so good. I spent the last few hours watching and listening to you and the Old Timer who roped the lion and narrated his jaguar hunts in Mexico the legends name is for some reason dodging my memory. Will look it back up and nit forget it ever again for he is a great great fantabulous storyteller! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOU DO TO SHARE YOUR ADVENTURES. I put many miles on snowshoeing and the beautiful country of the upper Peninsula of Michigan would like to share some of the things that I get to see in the way that you do. Will have to look into what it takes you make it look easy and I know it is not.πŸ‘πŸ‘

You need to pack a collapsible bucket for your mule and dogs. You'll use it all the time.
