Came here to find the cute Pokemon-like creature on the thumbnail. Failed to find it, as I thought 😂

The irony of showing God’s amazing microscopic handiwork, something the brightest scientists could never replicate, yet implying it happened on its own. How can people be so smart and so blind at the same time?
  • @monakw
Never showed the creature on the thumbnail. Clickbait!

One fact that never ceases to amaze me is that we are closer to the largest thing in the universe than we are the smallest thing. The microscopic world is another universe in itself. Thank you for sharing this :)

I will never look at a chalk drawling the same way ever again...
  • Wow looking at orange juice under a microscope looks like a abstract painting so beautiful
  • My two favorite inventions are the space telescopes and the electron microscope. Fascinating.

This is why as a lifelong "science nerd" I love my microscope. Everyone understands without asking why I have a telescope, but visitors to my home often wonder why I have a microscope. This is why. Even at 55 years old there is always something new under there and I do not have to fight mosquitoes or weather.

My favourite thing in school was observing things under the microscope. I still remember the first time i made my own slide of onion root tip for mitosis and observed it. It was so interesting and it made me so happy.
  • I wonder who's watching us under a microscope inside this almost infinite huge universe?
  • If you were drawn in by the clickbait thumbnail, that's a picture of 2-day old Zebrafish embryos, which are not mentioned in the video.
  • Sea salt looked like ancient ruins. The one looked like the Aztec pyramid.
  • another interesting fact about shark skin: it "repels" things like barnacles and bacteria, and humans have replicated these denticles and used them on ships and in medical experiments and advancements !
  • Cool vid, but I just wanna point out that the digger wasp shot is of the 3 simple eyes. All the other "eyes" are droplets of condensation. The "pupils" you see are reflections of the microscope lens.

A shark is basically one giant tooth. This shocks me more than it should.
  • This is amazing, most of these are pretty close up but the Tape Worm Head and the Digger Wasp are terrifying.
  • I used to love looking at random things under our electron microscope at work. It's a fascinating world!
