"Nichts" xD Manche Deutsche sind schon echt hart :D

It was so funny when he met the other American. Hey brother and they started talking like they're best friends. I'd say that's a difference right there. Germans are a bit cold and conservative when talking to strangers and Americans are eccentric and talk a lot and a bit nicer to be honest.

As a german born in west germany what i like about americans is after world war 2 they help us to rebuild our country help us revive our economy treat us with no hatred as former enemy in ww2 and treat us as a fellow equal human being with respect towards humanity goodness and peace. compare what soviets did in east germany thats why i will always be greatful.

Its funny to hear the stereotypes. No, we don't just eat fast food. A lot of us don't like to eat fast food. 🤣🤣 As for restaurants, we have tons of multicultural restaurants.

I'm American and have done some travelling in Germany; only know a few words of German. I experienced some anti-American feeling, toward me as an American, but the vast majority of Germans I met/spoke with were very friendly and interested to learn something about me (where I lived, what I did for a living, etc.). I liked the down-to-earth nature of the German people I met -- they weren't artificial in any way.

when I go to germany I am going to tell people I'm Canadian.
  • I have lived in Germany for quite some time and my boyfriend is German. I get this negative vibe sometimes about my country (USA) and to be honest it is really hurtful. I feel like it is very closed minded and a little racist for Germans to act this way. It is hurtful to see a country that I am so interested in have so much hatred against mine. I find this very contradicting though since most of Germany is very influenced by American culture and they all want to visit the states for example California, New York or Florida. We all just need to love each other and stop hating. No one is better and each culture as there positives and negatives. We are all same deep down!!!

I'm German and I like the USA. I love everything from its gorgeous nature to the friendly people. It is such an awesome country! Much love from Germany! :D
  • Hey Easy German Fans. I am Amir from the video... I just want to get something off of my chest. I have been living in Germany since the beginning of July and I can honestly say from my own experience that the german people are some of the most friendly, kind and intelligent people in the world regardless of we are led to believe in America, and I am sure that the German's, once they meet an American, feel the exact same way about us. So take this video with a grain of salt. Maybe we were on the wrong street wrong time? Maybe it was a stupid question to ask or a hard question to answer on the spot? And to be fair, a lot of the negative things said in the video are hard to argue against as an American... So once again I'm sorry that this video feeds into the stereotypes of Germans being cold because it simply just isn't true. I love this country and its people. Remember, Easy German is a language learning tool, so have fun watching while simultaneously learning :)
  • idk i feel like you cant judge people by the country they live in. people are their own people with their own personalities. i understand how cultures and environment can be very influential, but people shouldnt be so generalized.

Hallo deutsche Freunde! Ich komme aus San Diego, Kalifornien, und ich mag Deutschland! I did not find the video to be upsetting at all. Much of what many Germans think of America is a result of our television and news, not to mention a number of other media outlets...magazines, newspapers, etc. While the video does make some great points, I don't feel that the overall attitude was negative at all. If anything, it was more like 50/50. Also, I think we can all agree that our governments on both sides could do better, but again, a lot comes from the media. I'll apologize in advance if my Deutsch war nicht sehr gut, aber ich bin einen Anfänger. Thanks for the great videos, as they help with my comprehension and learning!

Am I the only one who didn't find this video offensive in any means? I really liked how opinionated the people are, especially that most of the answers had politics involved, interesting. I agree with Tobias, that it's the way of asking the question that manipulated people into answering in such activism/ politically.

It's amazing how people so quickly rush to judgment failing to recognize their immense ignorance.
