I feel bad for ibx… he’s been playing minecraft for so long but has never experienced a proper modded playthrough

I really wish Mojang would have a better system for modders. Seeing how so many things don’t get added onto the MP for one reason or another is really heartbreaking. Needing a PC or Pocket Edition just to get addons for PlayStation and Switch is such a killer for people playing on those devices.
  • I love the More TNT one so much. Me and my sister were nuking random villages and just having a mod showcase. I really love the Add-ons but $41 is insane
  • @PrismaKitten
i could see the spark portal being useful for family worlds where each person in the family could have their own personal portal systems, separated by colors.

Saving $41 just because you play on Java is actually crazy💀
  • The Techna one is a good example of why every mod pack uses JEI or an equivalent
  • @gavin_riggs
I think mojang really needs to add an "Additional Recipes" tab to the recipe book

that's why tea is better than java, you can push tea into a harbor, java just muddies the waters
  • The elemental one you have to put a water block below the sprinkler for it to work. Once you make all the armours you can mix them together to create one set of armour with all of the effects.

Question for QnA Saturday: I'm a java player. I play Bedrock occasionally with my friends, but i've never had a long term world. I can't help but wonder sometimes, if long-term Bedrock players feel a little disappointed with Bedrock and how it's treated by Microsoft. The vanilla game almost feels like an afterthought, while all the company resources is spent on the Marketplace. To my java eye, they're actively turning Minecraft into a free-to-play mobile game, while also charging for the base game itself. What are your thoughts on this, Toycat? Have you grown more disappointed with Bedrock as time went on? (no shade to anyone, Minecraft is still Minecraft no matter the version)
  • Elemental crops also lets you craft certain materials like wind and ground essense to make sand, wind crystals can become ghast tears, craftable ender pearls which works well with Sparks Portals, and you can even use water essense to craft sea lanterns

the portals one was an easy buy for me. i would pay more for it too. its a usefulness that just.... cant be beat for me. easily the best add on so far.
  • @FentarenKnight
I like the portals, you can link 10 of the same color. And different you make the full frame in the same color you get a custom border
  • @Kobebean823
though the sad thing is that modders can't charge people to get their mods but mojang charges people for mods on minecraft. this was supposed to be the year where they listen to the community
  • @Bellsbear64
The portals being that way is fantastic for realms, all of us get our own color that we can use for things around our bases and builds, and we can habe a portal hub w one of each color so we can access each other's places, know who's is who's, and it's organized.

After watching you work the technica addon, i want to give you AE2 and Ender IO on java and then just watch the meltdown. So many tech mods are made by people who work in NASA engineering, but have zero ability to document process or instruct others. Technica reminds me of early java tech mods.
  • @AkodoKusamoto
Also, can i just say how much better an integration some of the "greatest hits" from java moving into Bedrock was than when Bethesda tried to do it with the Creation Club? Amazing at how often other smaller companies dunk on Bethesda.
  • Techna would be a really cool technical add-on if it actually worked intuitively. It's like baby's first Technic. I actually really like the more Vanilla feeling mods that some of these add-ons bring to the Bedrock addition.
