  • Why does a so-called cat 1 hurricane look more like a cat 3, and take as long as a cat 3 to restore power.

Reduce my mother effin delivery charges at a bare minimum. Why are we forced to pay a daily fee even when they fail to deliver. What a sick system we are subjected to.
  • How were you prepared when it took three days to open up shelters after the storm because they didnt have generators . Harris county opened the first one i went to .
  • @salvyballacc
More prepared? THAN EVER? More like than NEVER

This is an issue every time there's a huge storm here

ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY!!! What can we do as houstonians to change this because thia is not ok!?
  • @davidmorello6031
The mayor asks us to NOT believe what we ALL EXPERIENCED and ALL SAW with our own eyes. This was not a city "well prepared". A functioning, "well prepared", city would not still have trees damaged in the derecho with dangerously dead and hanging branches. Heights Boulevard Green Space is a city of Houston park space. There are dead and diseased trees everywhere in this space, still standing. This is a city that is dysfunctional NOT "well prepared"! Stop blaming the previous administration and do better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need to be better prepared… If they were prepared they did not prepare us.
  • @ashman4827
Whitmire’s preparedness did not include making sure centerpoint is prepared….
  • @hubriswonk
What constitues being "prepared"???? Everyone has a different opinion.
  • Pointing fingers was the only thing these politicians were prepared to do. No one took accountability.
  • @jamese9434
Whitmire doesn't take responsibility for anything I hope my fellow Houstonian are paying attention and make him a one term mayor
  • The discussion in the video is about mobilization of first responders prior to storm, not about CenterPoint, tree maintenance, or any of the other topics seen in the comments section at ths moment. Are folks even watching the same video? If so, are they even listening to the discussion? Apparently not.
