I have adhd and i used to take medication for it because i would be too distracted but the meds just made not hungry at all and it would "turn off" my emotions. I was like a robot. Numb as some would say. Sure i wasnt distracted but I couldn't do the meds anymore.

Love these fan shorts of this song. Every single one nails it. The level of artistry, imagination, and execution is mint.

I swear I have watched this like a 100 times cause it's so good.

I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and adhd at a pretty young age. I took the same pill for over a decade and it was used to help me not be distracted in class as well as be less depressed. It worked for awhile, but I’m not in school anymore and I lack motivation to do things, so I knew there was no point in continuing. As I feel emotionless most days, I am starting to slowly get off this pill, and feel so relieved this is happening after 13 years!

I had a medication like this. My old doc gave it to me for anxiety and it just turned my brain off. ; I was emotionless. Got off it and started feeling much better, and eventually found something that works for me while still allowing me to be me! Don't be afraid to tell your doctor "this medication isn't working out", you can always try to find something else.

Honestly, meds CAN be a lifesaver. They saved me. But. Once you're no longer in the worst state of your life, all they do is make everything gray and dull. If you need meds, take them. But remember that they're not a cure-it-all, they're only there so you can manage living until you get proper help (such as a therapist) I'm not against meds, I'm on some pretty heavy meds myself.

Honestly this was my experience with antidepressants. There was one key difference though they would just stop working after 2 months. I tried so many and I didn’t understand until I started taking ADHD meds. As it turned out the stressful environment of my school mix with my ADHD was causing my depression so once the ADHD was managed I could heal. I am still glad I figured it out because I truly believe if I hadn’t I wouldn’t still be alive. I did it with by myself no doctor told me to and my parents were completely out of their element. I just told my mom one day that I wanted to try ADHD medication because of that I am ALIVE and it’s a beautiful feeling. I am not saying antidepressants will not be helpful to you but they were not for me.
  • Wonderful creative! And the truth...! Beware of the" American Nightmare Dream"
