I was in Bogota when they were building this course and some of the jumps were brutal - the video doesn't do it justice. I was exhausting just walking down Respect to everyone who rode it down and lets not forget the great gang of guys & gals who constructed the course.

Insane. Even more insane is the design of that whole path.
  • One of the craziest athletic events I've ever seen. Pumped me up just watching it!

When Pedro whacked that limb with his head, it startled the crap out of me. 🤣
  • @granfabrica
Absolute madness. Loved every second. Now let's see them race back up

Incredible biking aside - let's take a moment and appreciate the herculean effort that went in to building this mind-boggling stone path.

How my father describes his journey to school back in his day :')
  • As someone who recently broke several ribs, received significant road rash, and obliterated a clavicle by falling off a mountain bike landing on the roadway at high speeds... Thank you for doing / recording this, My days of doing anything fun on a mountain bike are over, but with videos like this i don't mind as much.
  • Thank you, just what I like to see, no annoying intros I have to skip through, just straight to the legitimate video
  • 0:54 how nice to have that little slope down that two stairs, when they're going down a few thousand more anyways :D

The Longest Urban Downhill Race on the Planet, or how my bike would like to call it: How I lost almost all my screws.
  • I love these urban courses, the one in Rio is awesome too. If you like these also check out the Megavalance race, downhill starting in the snow in the French Alps. In the first icy turn, there's always like a million-bike crash. Lower down the snow gives way to beautiful meadows and shady forests and finally a very old town.
  • Those fences/hand rails that line the course are scary as hell, great way to break a femur

All I can think of is Sam Pilgrim and how he'd call this the most massive "Stairset of Doom" on the planet!

When we raced back in the mid 80's, mtn bikes had no suspension. To do this course on one of those bikes would be unthinkable. Come to think of it, I still wouldn't want to try this on any bike. Well beyond my comfort zone. Kudos to the guys and gals who make it look easy.

I can only imagine how sore my arms would feel after that!

OMG that terrifies me! The cost of failure looks so high .... and there are so very many opportunities to fail! Salut! The riders must need wheelbarrows to carry their cohones.
