Doc’s Seafood Shack and Oyster Bar Review (Orange Beach, Alabama)

Published 2021-06-12
Doc’s Seafood claims to have the best fried shrimp in the civilized world, and after dinner last night, I think I agree. The shrimp were large and lightly breaded and SO good! The fried oysters were also a highlight of the meal. The kids ordered from the children’s menu, one had fish and the other had popcorn shrimp. The portions were big, and neither of them finished the meal. We only had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Highly recommend!

Those plates of fried delicacies looked fantastic. Check out the USS Alabama dry docked in Alabama if you haven't left yet.

One of my faves in Gulf Shores is the Fresh seafood market off Fort Morgan Rd. All fresh and all to go. They will steam and season how you like.

You should have ordered their fried crab claws and a cup of their gumbo. The best anywhere. Also enjoy without covering it up with all of that sauce in order to get the real flavor of the delicious seafood. This is the best restaurant in both GS and OB

You should always know what kind of fish you are eating! We got the seafood platter only to find out that the "white fish" that they serve is a farm raised fish from Viet Nam!

Check out Papa Rocco's Pizza if you get a chance. It's one of our favorite places down there.
