    Key points mentioned in the video: This video sounds like an attempt to explain to f2p players on why pulling a sustain units not ideal. - "The way the game is designed is to frontload your dmg as fast as possible" The game is designed as a "turn based game" its idea is for both you and your opponent to take turns attacking each other. During turns, the player takes dmg, and there are instances where the dmg is lethal thus requiring the help of sustain units. (notice how your xueyi almost died if not saved by luck targetting?) Claiming "kill them before they kill you" through 0 cycle gameplay with huge overall dmg may be ideal but realistically that dmg for the majority of the f2p is hard to achieve, (relic, lightcone, knowledge & mechanics of the game, etc) - "Maximise damage against different enemies" Supports offer buffs to dmg (reduce enemy res, dmg, crit buff, etc) However just as important, sustain are also needed in order for you to deal more instances of dmg. Not only that sustains are also shifting to a more support playstyle as well, providing crit buff (fuxuan 12% crit rate, aventurine and fuxuan providing effect res) and with the opponent possibly one shotting you, how are you suppose to maximise dmg if you are dead? f2p players can't kill enemies in a cycle and with the cycles dragging on and on, with no sustain that dmg would definitely kill you. "Guess who is after aventurine, robin" Pulling on a character is most likely attributed by 2 factors, "I like this character I will pull" or "I need this character I will pull". Based on this fact f2p players who are dying in combat now are incentivised to pull for sustain units rather than care for if they should save and pull for character in the future in order to clear current content. And putting so much trust into unreleased content not only is spread of misinformation but also goes against your statement of f2p players should choose to spend their pulls wisely, convincing players to save based on subjected to change info is quite going against what you stand for isn't it? "Identity crisis of whether he is a sub dps or sustain unit" I don't see an issue where he cannot fulfil both roles at the same time and how this is an "identity crisis". "There are sustains like gepard... gallagher" As content progressively get harder and harder the need for better sustain arise, there is only so much that the old sustain can provide compared to new sustains which can provide buffs, with that in mind who wouldn't want to replace their sustains? (An evidence would be if you search "hsr moc" you would rarely see a natasha or a gepard in a team.) Overall, you clearly do not represent f2p players, lack of understanding how a f2p player feels towards a sustain unit. We pull on a sustain unit because we can't clear content in 0 cycle or with nuke dmg thus we take considerable amounts of dmg. And with our current sustain units unable to keep the team alive due to powercreep and dmg from enemies' dmg being considerably higher than before. Thus your perception of the game may be correct for you but for the majority this video does not cater us and rather an insult to our pulling decisions and mocking the fundementals of the game itself. So get off your high horse and put yourself in the shoes of a normal f2p player rather than some f2p who clears content in 0 cycle f you intend to cayter this conetnt to f2p players.

    'Limited sustains are inefficient in terms in pulls.' You also fail to mention that most of the F2P, casual playerbase don't minmax and the like. A lot of their difficulties in story content is failing to stay standing. You claim that 'surviving without a sustain' is faster with clearing with one, but you ignore the fact that more resets will be needed when a character dies, which takes up time in real life. Though it can be argued that just two limited sustains will be enough, and you don't have to pull any more.

    Most people are casual players and don't feel the need to 0 cycle limited sustains make the game easier for those who want to enjoy the game and dont follow the meta

  • I can’t believe there are videos out there like this 😟😟😟 With all due respect, he’s an absolutely amazing unit and very fun to play as a sustain. Not everyone want to front load their team with hypercarry and one sustain. Everyone is different. Let people enjoy the game how they like

    Just pull for who you want. Following the meta can be super boring at times since you can (often) clear hard content pretty easily…

    Look, I understand why you would think sustains are useless because they didn’t work out for you, but beginners and f2p players don’t have strong dps characters and supports in the beginning that can carry their team and help them clear quests. For veteran players with strong dps and support units this video is indeed accurate, but for f2p players and especially beginners, they NEED sustains to SURVIVE to complete quests and earn JADES to pull for better characters such as supports and damage dealers. Sustain is top 1 priority then dps and support. Just because a sustain hasn’t worked out for you doesn’t mean it’s an overall fact. Also, respectfully, how do you expect someone, especially a beginner player to wait for support and dps characters like Ruan Mei and Acheron to re appear in their next rerun? They can’t farm/grind jades for them if they keep failing to complete quests. I’m a beginner player and Aventurine has helped me clear Memory hall easily even though I have a strong dps character like Acheron dealing damage, he kept my team alive. The only problem I have is that I need a 2nd team to clear the rest. Now that I have Aventurine that’s able to protect my team, I can now focus on getting a strong dps or support characters like Ruan Mei and DHIL. Sustains and healers are number 1 must haves for beginners and f2p. Also Robin’s kit isn’t fully finished yet and changes are still being made, majority of people are recommending to skip both her and Boothill, they’re good but not game changing unlike Aventurine. Just because sustains don’t work out for you doesn’t mean you should be recommending beginners and f2p players not to pull for him, your making a recommendation video right? You need to understand from there perspective to give them a proper recommendation that will help them grow their team, right now they need to sustain unit that will help them survive and complete challenges and quests to earn more jades to pull for better characters, once survival is easy then dps and supports can come into play.

    I had to pull for adven turine as he is my first 5* sustain and honestly bro has made my life a helluva lot easier. I don't have mant units but I use him with Dhil, Sparkle and Tingyun. Hopefully I get lucky and get Jingliu 😭🙏

    You can't do damage if your dead. Step 1) Don't die. Step 2) Do ENOUGH damage. Step 3) Win! ----Unlocks after completing step 3 Step 4) Do as much damage as QUICKLY as possible *(OPTIONAL) These are called "win conditions". You can't get to step 4 unless you fulfill steps 1 2 and 3. If you can't clear the content to begin with, you shouldn't be thinking about step 4 at all. Aventurine solves step 1, especially for new accounts, where survival is the most relevant roadblock. Robin won't get a new player to floor 7 MoC (because they're dead long before that). But the addition of a single limited sustain could literally carry this player up to floor 10, because their problem was survival, not DPS. In time, the win condition will shift more toward step 2: Do ENOGUH damage to win. A veteran player will obviously be at step 4 already, because they fulfilled steps 1 2 and 3 six months ago, and have nothing better to do...... Only once you are able to CLEAR the desired content, does this condition switch to step 4. This is why understanding win conditions are important. Know what problems unit solves, before dishing out bad advice. It is MASSIVELY important to get at least 1 limited sustain as soon as possible on your account. Hold this L.

    Eh I disagree i wasnt able to clear swarm and gng difficulty 4 now I've finally cleared swarm difficulty 5 and moc 12 with aventurine he made life so much easier than a sparkle or ruan mei edilon would ever do

    Plus, 4/5 star sustain such as : March7th - Natasha - Fire MC - Lynx - Gallagher - Gepard - Bailu are good enough for sustain but also cheaper (4*). But again, having a 5* limited sustainer will make things easier

    reasons to pull for Aventurine over here: - universal unit, can work even outside his best team being a follow up one with Ratio and Topaz - almost 100% uptime with shields (Gepard only has his ult, Aventurine has his skill and follow up attacks) - can use almost if not all Preservation lightcones - can follow up pretty frequently, could be a bit of a life saver as it gives more shield on top of the current one - 42% crit rate for free with 4k def, can be built as a sub dps if one wants to - really sp efficient even if you clear moc 12 in 10 cycles you still getting 3 stars and that's all that matters <3

  • We really need to have some way to deal with the awful misinformation in this game. Guide makers who have literally no idea what they're talking about telling people not to pull for game changing units like Aventurine and Luocha because "ONLY FACEROLL ONLY DAMAGE" is going to ruin some people's accounts when they fill it up with damage dealers and then run into the inevitable wall of 'these enemies have too much health and do too much damage to kill before they kill you'.

    With 2.1 banners out of the way, what's in your opinion is worth pulling in the future pipeline as a f2p? (I have an 11% 50/50 winrate so I have to assume 150 rolls average per cost) i can either do e0s0 robin and e0s0 sam or skip robin for e0s1 sam or e0s0 sam then e1s0 ruan mei or maybe boothill is a wildcard pick with the new boss rush mode hoyo is about to push out
