Best part of retirement is never having to go to a loves again!

Don’t say it often enough. You are appreciated. Videos are interesting, informative, and varied in content. You make me feel like part of your family with your laid back casual dialogue. Love your family ( hi to Opie).

I think First Class is more beautiful than that new rig. I'll take the classic, working dual exhaust, no e-log, and a BIG OL KITTY under the hood over any pretty truck every day of the week. And twice on Sundays.

I got my first Class A license in 1981 in Wisconsin. Took the written test & passed & went on to take my driving test in a 1978 Ford Thunderbird. Unbelievable difference in the times, right? Went on to learn to drive truck at the hands of a couple generously experienced owner operators. Those were the days. Had 39 yrs of OTR & local jobs, including years of owning my own equipment. Not a single accident, no speeding tickets & a lot of great memories. The only state I didn't get to was Maine. Drove automatics twice & wouldn't give you a plug nickle for either one. Give me a 13 or 18 speed any day. Love your videos. Keep 'em coming. Be safe. 🙏

Much respect tp you guys running the big rigs.

Parallel parking in a semi is a lost art. Heck, backing is lost art. I will always pride myself on my backing ability. Not bragging, just good at it.
  • @SamuelManaole
That littering drives me crazy. There has to be a way to stop it. BIG FINES !!!!
  • @Truckergregg
There is enough room in the USA for all of our trucks. God bless all of us truckers !!!
  • @anonfi
Kurt and Opie, always look forward to your videos
  • @heatherkohlwey8379
Kinda goofy? Your old workhorse will put on more miles and years in total than that new thing ever will. Thanks for another nice ride. Stay safe, and God bless.

I've had to help a fellow out in a landfill because he about gave up trying to get to the pile to unload after watching the 8 try I told him I would back it up for nothing he sure appreciate it great video keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe
  • @pipeminer7281
The dummy exhaust is there because DEF will leak out of the joints on active exhaust and stain everything it toushes. Love your content and the old workhorse. Keep up the good work. 🙂
  • @bobyoung1698
That's a beautiful old dog you have there. I can't blame you for spoiling him.😊

So Kurt it's National Truck Driver appreciation Week! Thank You! I started driving way back in 1982. I No longer drive over the road! I just work for a county hwy dept that fixes roads and snow plow and salt and sands so all you drivers can make it to your destination! You and Opie Rock On!
  • I got my Texas Class A in 1978. Rented a Mack twin stick from Ryder, drove it 70 miles to pick up a Rentco 40' dry van, drove back 70 miles to take my driving test, dropped off my 2nd cousin who had a Illinois commercial license to ride with me to get to the driving test drove 150 miles to pick up a load.drove back 150 miles and unloaded the load. Drove the 70 miles to return the Rentco trailer and returned the Mack by 7 the next morning. After rentals and fuel still made $2200.00. Good old rate days and huge money for a 18 year old kid.

The last Freightliner Cascadia 12 speed auto transmissions that I drove in 2017 was as smooth as my F-150 at home. But in the early days of the auto trans was rather entertaining to watch. I love the auto trans.

Your old school KW is the true truck. Some new truck have fake side pipes. Weed burns 👍
  • @father.of.7bear963
Interesting truck there in the beginning of the vid. As a local day run driver, I'm grateful to rarely be in the truck stops, and for my 18 speed manual
