  • I missed the old Gore details from the original gears of war trilogy. You shot a grub in the face you could see its eyeball and lower jawbone, also piece of its skull and brain all on the floor. But you do that and gears a war 4 or 5 and you just see chunks of meat no skull no eyeballs and if you chainsaw somebody and they’re just literally a meat person. There’s no heart, lungs, ribs, intestines, or stomach none of that and it’s depressing.

The fact that I can still remember Epic games affiliated with Gears Of War instead of Fortnite speaks volumes of how this game was beloved to me. It's sad how Microsoft had to buy out the IP without the Devs who started the fame. Otherwise we would've had a way different Gears 4+5

It astounds me that the original trilogy is still not on PC. I never got to play it as a kid because I was more dedicated to Halo.

That bit about Mexicans living GoW is facts. All of my cousins and friends were die hard GoW/Halo players. One of my best friends and I are still playing both

Gears of War wouldn't be nearly as dead if they treated the franchise like Halo last console gen and gave us a Marcus Phoenix Collection or something equivalent to Halo MCC. All the Gears games are on Xbox, but only 1, 4, and 5 are on PC. Would love to be able to play Gears 2, and 3 on PC natively without needing emulation.

Gears 3 will forever hold a place in my heart for that amazing multiplayer, great story. And underrated horde mode. Along with all the fire characters and gameplay.

Just like Halo 3, after Gears 3 they should have let the franchise rest
  • @seth3491
It died when the coalition took over
  • @P33NG0BLiN
Umm how about because they made a chick the face of the dudest franchise ever and made it super soft?
  • @itsKimi
gear of war the collection would hit so hard in my heart, I NEED IT NOW.
  • @Mingodough
I’m still hoping for a gears of war collection like how halo got a master chief collection. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet since I feel gears of war is fairly popular to warrant one

It’s INSANE just how many parallels you can make between The Coalition and 343 when it comes to how both fumbled the IPs they inherited. Wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out that just like 343 The Coalition shot down numerous spinoffs that could’ve revitalized the franchise (we know from ex-343 devs that a game VERY similar to HellDivers 2 was pitched and shot down by Microsoft execs and 343’s heads). This is a level of incompetence that is only matched by Sony when it comes to making movies (if you look up any worst movies list you’re bound to find a few Sony films on the list. Emoji Movie, Madame Web, Morbius, and a Slenderman movie made however many years after the creepypasta was no longer relevant come to mind😂). I’m sure the Netflix animated show and live action movie won’t be good. They’ll probably better than the Halo show, but that’s not exactly a high bar to clear.
