Skenes day is a real day lol, I've never cleared out time to watch someone like skenes. Classy St. Louis fans giving him a standing O as well. I thought Skenes hit the line so many times it was insane. It's really not fair if he starts curveballing like a right handed kershaw... then has a degrom fastball. He should be an All Star rep from Pitt, but Pirates won't lobby because they probably want him to just rest.

It's wild this time last year he hadn't thrown his first Omaha game yet. And now he's striking out Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. And the year before that he was just decent at Air Force. This kind of jump doesn't happen in baseball. Special dude. For anyone that hasn't seen his game vs Wake Forest in Omaha Skenes vs Lowder look it up, the stakes and the performance from both pitchers makes it the best pitched college game ever imo. Fun watch.

If Skenes keeps his current pace, he's definitely an all-star. Fans are showing up just to see him! Hell a lot of guys are only tuning into MLB when he pitches.

Thanks for covering this whole Skenes thing. I didn’t really get all the hype until now. Being a Mets fan and all, and seeing how short pitchers careers can be, I’m in favor of him getting an all star game appearance. You never know how short a pitcher’s time can be, might as well get the call while he’s still got it.

Skene's is an all-star in my books! So fun to watch, has great stats, and although only has six starts, it isn't easy to just come up from the minors and pitch as well as he has. But his stuff is so electric, that is all-star stuff in it's own right.
