Sorry it took a while to upload this. I was apprehensive about filming this because I didn’t know if I would like it or not, and I didn’t know how this reaction would turn out😭😭 Anyways I’m sure I interpreted SO many of these songs wrong so feel free to fill me in on what I missed😂👇🏾and GET READY FOR MIDNIGHTS⭐️❤️❤️

My hobby as a Swiftie is watching people's reactions of her music on YouTube
  • @cocoraia
This is my favorite type of YouTube reaction. 1. Ugh fine I’ll do Taylor Swift. 2. Wait WTF is happening 3. ……… 4. I’m a swiftie
  • @inzahniety
As a swiftie, you may or may not like her music but thank you for respecting her enough that you listen so attentively to her lyrics. Her story-telling and lyrics are, for me, the strongest aspects of her art.
  • @11Angel33
Ive never seen someone more fitting to be a swiftie in my life.
  • @melissad807
Lol when you said "I love specificity" I grabbed a coffee and a blanket and settled in 😂😂
  • @AFaRey
I love how you interpreted the meaning of each song without looking up what they were about. That’s how music should be experienced. Now I selfishly want you to react to Evermore
  • The way you understood cardigan on your first listen is vital proof you are meant to be a swiftie
  • First time listening to Taylor and you already called her crazy. Girl you were born to be a swiftie
  • the folklore long pond sessions are on disney+ and she breaks down and explains each and every song and performs them!
  • @geminimoon3456
i love when casual listeners get past her singles and finally delve into her true songwriting and lyrical mastery. your reaction here is PEAK swiftie and i can't wait to keep watching you fall down the rabbit hole <3
  • @SweetSirenia
Not liking her singles but liking the album tracks is a time-honored Swiftie tradition. Welcome to the club!
  • Girl, I'm not even 15 minutes into your reaction, and I already know that you are made to be a swiftie. You're already trying to decode words, making connections between the songs, and saying that you love when artists give specificity and paint a picture. Taylor is literally known for these things; that's her entire MO. Update after your invisible string reaction: You have now discovered the secret to why Taylor has had such a long-lasting career with loyal, loyal fans (aside from the amazing lyricism and storytelling). She puts into words what is in so many of our heads, and then we are hooked. It's not just that she's opening her diary to us and being vulnerable, but it's as if she has access to the diaries we hide under our mattresses, too. Epiphany: In this song, Taylor draws parallels between her grandfather's experience during WW2 (at the Battle of Guadalcanal) and the experience of healthcare workers during the pandemic. The first verse is from a soldier's perspective, and the second verse is from a doctor's perspective. The bridge and outro then draw parallels between the two. If you want the inside scoop about what all the songs on this album are about, I'd recommend listening to The Long Pond Studio session (it's on Disney+). She goes through each song, what they're about, the writing process, and the recording process, too. It's not only interesting to get a better understanding of the music, but it also gives you insights into the craft. Aside from Midnights, I highly recommend you check out Evermore (folklore's sister album, also released during the pandemic), reputation (you have to experience it to understand - the best way to experience it is with the tour film), and 1989 (often referred to as the pop bible)
  • 'my tears ricochet' is about the betrayal from her past label's owner, scott borchetta. scott sold her masters from her first 6 studio albums to scooter braun, whom had bullied taylor before. scott knew about this and still sold the aforementioned masters to scooter. the 'stollen lullabies' refer to her masters. 'mirrorball' is about missing the connection with her fans during the pandemic.
  • “Word Painting” it’s a beautiful and so accurate description of Taylor’s craft. I loved this reaction so much ❤ welcome to the tayniverse gurl!!, you don’t need to be a psychotic toxic swiftie to adore her art and being exited about her 🥹 I have openly loved her for 14 years (as a metal-head) and have cero regrets or shame about it ❤ she’s truly one of a kind Please see the long pond studio sessions, it’s an amazing deep dive of this album that is by far her best one 🤍
  • @joshalvrez
Girl I'm right there with you... I was never a Taylor fan. Only really knew the radio hits honestly. But when those tickets for her Eras tour went for sale and she had that beef with Ticketmaster, I was like "bro what's the hype. I deadass don't get it." This was my first Taylor Swift album and I've been a swiftie ever since. I was a whole CLOWN for sleeping on that pen for so long
  • "how are you reading my mind?" oh the ✨feeling✨ that we all have when listening to lyrics from taylor swift
  • @alexacab9000
I love watching people discover that taylor actually rocks. She has a huge fan base because of stuff like this, rather than the radio hits. Folklore is my favorite album from taylor. So creative and sonically beautiful. I would listen and react to evermore (the sister album of folklore) before hopping into a different era. Lots of people associate those two with eachother. Plus evermore is soooo amazing too. Can’t wait for the next taylor video. :)

This is exactly what I wish everyone who dismisses Taylor Swift as a ‘blonde pop Princess’ would do. Take the time to actually listen, properly, to her music and lyrics. She is a storyteller, a wordsmith, a musician and so much more, there is a depth that is so intricate you find different aspects with each run through. Thank you for giving her the time needed to discover this about her. Now if you can, try another album, they are all worth the effort and time, Taylor has been honing her skills for almost two decades, and it has paid off. ❤
