I like how Feyd didn’t really have any ulterior motive for volunteering to be the emperor’s champion. Bro just wanted to fight Paul
-
"May your knife fucking break"
-
Stilgar shitting his pants until Paul won 🤣
-
We all need a hype man like Stilgar in our lives.
-
Stilgar almost forgot his lines 😂😂😂
-
The best part about this scene is The Silence
-
10,000 years. That's how long the beef with House Atreides and House Harkonnen lasted. Their feud started after an Atreides accused a Harkonnen Baron of abandoning his post during a war with AI combatants. Paul is the last Male heir of House Atreides and Feyd is the last male heir of House Harkonnen. Control of Giedi Prime was given to the people of Caladan after this duel, and under the direction of Gurney Halleck, who was once a slave on that world, its machines of industry were dismantled, its name and those of its cities were changed, and its forests and greenery replanted. House Harkonnen ceased to be after this duel. The Atreides. Despite all the odds. Won.

Can't believe they got the real Paul Atreides to play Paul Atreides
-
stilgar was holding in that "LISAN AL GHAIB" the whole fight
-
Emperor can walk without rhythm, but Paul has his weapon of choice
-
One of my fav things about this scene is how scared Gurney Halleck looks at times. You really get the sense that the idea of losing Paul again terrifies him.
-
I could watch Paul use the voice on Charlotte Rampling all day.
-
Willy Wonka vs Elvis Presley
-
That stomp at the end. Peak.
-
I like how Paul has a consistent fighting style. Several times he goes for the Achilles tendon in this movie
-
Paul and Feyd are so casual about the fact that they're both technically family fighting each other. I love that aspect. No attempt to sway someone you know won't listen, relations or not. This isn't cousin versus cousin. It's atreides versus Harkonnen first.

Love that corkscrew flip Paul does.

I like how Feyd is seen as a ruthless and cunning psychopath but he also has a twisted sense of honor to him. When faced with a real fight he treats his opponents as worthy combatants. We see it when he fights the last Atredies on Geidi Prime, he was beyond mad when others interfered to help him. We even see him repeat the line “May they knife chip and shatter” to Paul as a token of respect. The only disrespectful thing we see him do to Paul is taunt him using Chani. However this is to goad Paul into an emotional outburst and make a mistake. It is a tactical move, one often used in duels. And when he is finally defeated, Feyd even tells Paul he fought well. I like that little nuance about Feyd, how he is clearly a monster but has is own code underneath that not even the Baron can eliminate. Now this is NOT the Feyd from the books who used poisoned blades and was far from honor. However I like how the filmmaker displays character nuance even slightly in this film. Paul’s rise to villainy, the Bene Gesserit’s plans backfiring, and Feyd’s twisted sense of honor.

Love when the emperor kneels to Paul, so satisfying avenging his father

Loved this fight scene. Unlike the original, no over the top background music and Feyd doesn’t stop to scream “I will kill him”. Just two peak hand to hand combatants brawling it out.
