Watch the Hello Neighbor All Alphas world record speedrun here:    • Hello Neighbor All Alphas Speedrun 10...

My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

Hello Neighbor description (from Steam):

ABOUT THIS GAME
Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

Suspenseful horror gameplay that focuses on sneaking around your neighbor's house
Constantly evolving experience where the Neighbor's AI counters your moves, and learns from what you do
Sandbox-style gameplay with plenty of environmental interaction and physics

It’ll never not seem weird to me how this game was in alpha for years, each revision being radically different, and then the final game came out and just seemed a bit underwhelming compared to the constantly changing state the game used to be in.

Every alpha feels like a completely different game and I don’t know how they somehow messed this up.

Now imagine someone just comes into your house and starts running and loudly explaining: Now one important thing about this speedrun is that it is very luck dependant. It all depends where the neighbour spawns...
  • I like how the neighbor is technically considered to be the “bad guy” but if you think about it the player just literally broke his windows, threw random objects at him, and trespassed in his house for no reason
  • @Axeeco
I like how at one point, the parkour gets scarier than the neighbor himself
  • Can you imagine being the neighbor here? You're just quietly living alone, enjoying your hobbies until one day someone buys the house Infront of yours and breaks into your house in under a minute.

I love how every run starts with an increasingly elaborate setup to pick up the crowbar.

POV: Seconds before he arrives at his new house, your new neighbor speedruns burglarizing your home and uncovering your darkest secrets at record-pace.

It was at the point with the darts and the paper airplane I thought to myself: Wow, this game REALLY went off the rails from its early versions didn't it?
  • @TunaminV1
Seems like the alphas gradually got more complex & filled with “how the hell was i supposed to ____ that” moments to me.
  • @PopeMical
It's crazy how I still have a vivid memory of the layout of each of the houses in all the builds. It's been literally years since I've seen some of the earlier houses and yet i still remember them
  • @samlewis6487
All the alphas played in a row tell a better story than the actual game
  • @RealRaido
As easy as the game got once you memorized things, I still loved it. I remember being hyped for every new alpha. Respect for playing these.

anyone remember when the puzzles were actually able to solve without having to watch tutorials? And remember when the houses allowed the neighbor explore the house so he’s actually in the game? and remember when the game was more pleasing to look at? and remember when the game was actually scary? and remember when the game wasn’t broken? and remember when the game was mostly about stealth rather than spending hours trying to figure out what u need to do?yeah… i do, i remember all of that😔😞
  • Imagine being the neighbor and someone moves in next door, and they immediately proceed to uncover your well hidden secrets in less than a minute while doing parkour to basically fly and phase through walls

I so badly wish we could get an expanded version of Alpha 1. Alpha 1 got everything it was trying to do right, and I think all fans at the time of its release would have been more than happy if they simply built off that original style. It looks, functions, flows and plays better. I think the developers simply got too ambitious and bit off more than they could chew, unfortunately. The original scope was perfect for what the game should have been, and the stylistic changes and crazy off the rails upgrades to the house ultimately made Hello Neighbor much less fun and interesting to play. It went from a unique and fairly atmospheric little horror game to a mindless pile of unfinished and poorly thought out ideas. I do give them a lot of credit the way they kept the theory and lore train going. I was so into this game’s lore all the way up until release because the secrets and mysteries were GENUINELY so interesting. It all ended up being lost in a broken game, sadly. It reminds me a lot of what happened to Cube World in a way, if anyone knows about that game anymore

Mad respect to this man for speedrunning these titles, insanity speedruns like always!
  • "So then after we enter this door, you want to do a 360 and start backhoping down and you wanna jump into this void because it will cause a glitch that it will teleport us to the basement-"

I remember when I was super addicted to Hello Neighbours and was constantly waiting for the new Alphas to come out and watched every secret in every alpha and beta.
