My parents were poor when I was a kid in the late 80's, we never had much. But when a toys r us opened in our city, my mom took us just on a whim. It was truly a magical experience. I was almost breathless as an 8 year old, never knew a store like this existed .

Toy'R'us was heaven for kids. I remember my mother taking me there very few times because it was "too expensive". It clearly was, often times you found the same toy in target or Walmart for way lower price
