  • Fun fact: Using a leg a lamb as a murder weapon likely comes from Roald Dahl’s short story “Lamb to slaughter” Where a suburban house wife murders her husband when he asks for the a divorce with a frozen leg of lamb, and then cooks and feeds it to detectives later, effectively destroying the murder weapon. Very in theme for a John waters movie
  • Fun fact: fewer crimes are committed on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year. All those moms who would be off committing crimes are at brunch with their families today!

“No, please, fashion has changed” cracked me up
  • @kazbramble499
No joke when Matthew lilard appeared on screen for this first time I screamed "IS THAT MATTHEW LILARD" at max volume to myself
  • @coolnerdlll6053
James missed a golden opportunity. Everybody knows that Psycho is the perfect Mother's Day horror movie.
  • "I'm a divorced woman, please help me". I don't know why but that line kills me every single time lmao
  • @WrathOfTheHydra
22:55 "Oh boy, another numbers segue. Wonder what bit he's gunna do here-OH GOD NO!"

I love that there was a point in time where Waters requested the rights to Annie, I like to believe he didn’t tell the studio what he was using it for. My favorite part of that kill is the look she gives when realizing she’s going to have to waste a leg of lamb.

Serial Mom is like Scream, but Stu's mom was the killer from the very beginning.
  • @kadenmedley1367
It’s an interesting detail that Beverly’s favorite bird she likes to watch is a Starling, which are invasive and generally disliked birds that toss other birds’ eggs from their nest so they can put their own eggs in for the other bird to adopt.
  • @rydermccall3590
“I’d recommend waiting tables over getting kidnapped by terrorists.” Anyone else think that line is badass?
  • @Kyller9-2
The scene when the guy burned alive haunted me for years. It's just disturbing when you're in a serious danger and everybody just cheers your agony.
  • @Zenlore6499
Hearing a distressed Mrs Puff say she has no room in her kitchen to recycle is SO in character!! 😂
  • @iapoxzi
We go from seeing James all jacked and shirtless. To him singing while a dog licks his toes. What universe am I in
  • @sodashiira1894
bruh the get to the numbers bit was scarier than any of the movies you've covered 😭
  • @zendio6882
a funny detail i noticed is that when bev chases scotty at 16:34 she looks both ways as she runs across the road
  • @maximillian875
Paul: “His unhealthy obsession with sick horror films.” James: “And so I took that personally.”

I remember one day I had a day off from school (might have been spring break?), and I asked my mom if she'd take me and my friend to see "The Mighty Ducks". We get to the theatre and she gets three tickets for "Serial Mom". I was in the 4th grade. It is now one of "our" movies. My mom rules so hard. Happy mother's day, ma! Love ya!
