This is honestly one of my fave segments, ever. He's so mental in this stage, but people weren't totally afraid to call him on his b.s. at this time.

The early warning signs of the Howard (Hughes) we know now that has hermetically sealed himself into a guilded cage.
-
I distinctly remember hearing Howard say to the Office Manager that no one else was to touch the Poland water, lol.

Howard's Quirkiness. 2/13/97. 8:30am Howard and the gang spent about 45 minutes talking about how quirky Howard can be. He doesn't think that he is but everyone around him seems to disagree. It all started when Howard asked if a certain door could be removed from the hallway at the station. He thought it was kind of stupid to have a door, that doesn't really do anything, in the middle of a hallway. Tom Chiusano explained that the door separates two air conditioning zones so it has to stay. That led to the discussion about how Howard has to have things a certain way. There wasn't much going on today so they had plenty of time to talk about all of this.

The keys to Howard's success were: his Father/his radio job, his first wife Allison, Billy + Jackie, getting a nightly time slot on E!

Imagine having this conversation now? It could go on for ten weeks

Lmao my freind called me quirky the other day I reacted exactly like this. I didn't see that as a compliment ๐

Celebrities are asked to shake a million hands - I wouldnโt do it if I was famous either.

Public bathroom sink knobs are dirtier than mine.

I have several Jewish friends who think they are sick all the time. I swear it has something to do with being raised Jewish.

He's not the same person now. I'd think I was listening to 2000's Don Imis trying to listen to his hack propaganda show of today. Terrestrial radio Stern was the absolute best
-
Success changes everyone!!!!!

Gary trying to interrupt every five seconds of classic

Been a stern fan most of my life, loved him. Howard became a manipulative Queen who has become one of the worst narcissist ever, damn shame he was so funny. Not funny anymore,he should of went out on top when he had the chance. Narcissism and greed has destroyed his legasy

Has success changed Howard? I mean the guy has been riding around a limo with a personal stylist/close confidant/underwear washer since the mid 80s...
-
Howard is the best at his gig and expects everything to be perfect. He holds his employer accountable as we all should
-
Stern stopped being funny the moment Jackie left....that's the truth

Do you want me to set that up now? Grilla
