Hey guys welcome to todays video where I want to go over some bugs... aka glitches in every single Super Mario game.

  • the Mario 2-3 isn't a glitch. They're not bricks, they're coin blocks. Coin blocks don't turn into real coins, there's a couple other levels you can see examples of it. The switch will change the appearance, but not the nature of the block.

I found another glitch in NSMBDS that uses the Mega Mushroom, I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. If you use the Mega Mushroom in the first castle in the game, at the same time you hit the switch to defeat Bowser, you unlock movement during the cutscene, and you can even jump into the lava and die. Kind of weird that the lava is interactable since you can't normally touch it during the cutscene.

The QA people for mario galaxy very likely found that falling twice glitch, but its such a minor thing that it would be very low on the priority list to fix

3:41 isn't it just simple matter of breakable blocks become collectable coins and unbreakable blocks don't become collectable ones? That happens on every level with P-Switches

2:52 smb2 actually does have a kill player input command if you plug in controller 2

I'm not sure if you already covered it before but 3D Land has a glitch with the baddie boxes where if you ground pound on one when using the invincibility leaf, the game will lag VERY heavily which I think was patch in the switch version of 3D World

Super Mario 64 has another very easy glitch to perform. In Bob-omb battlefield, grab the small box near the beginning of the stage and toss it on the hill, so it slides on it. Once it gets back, grab it, and leave it on the Chain Chomp post, WITHOUT ground pounding the post. The Chain Chomp will go to the farthest vertical point its chain allows it to. If you ground pound the post, iirc it will behave normally (running away and breaking the cage with the star) but its head will be pointing up. Sounds complex, but in reality its extremely simple to set up.

The only reason I beat darker side in odyssey was because of the frog glitch. I honestly just wanted to see if I could do it. I still haven’t beat it normally. I definitely could but I guess I just don’t feel like it

I’ve heard you mention in many videos that you find it strange that New Super Mario Bros. 2 is called as such despite being the third game. The reason this is is because this game is designed to be interpreted as a sequel to New Super Mario Bros. on the original DS. The same dynamic also applies to the Wii and Wii U games being their own series of sorts. I hope this helps 😁

In super Mario world, one of the stages in vanilla dome has a glitch that causes you to fall under the stage. There’s a line of breakable blocks, if you spin to go through it might activate. It’s happened to me a lot
  • Super Mario 3 world 2-3 feels like it was intentional. If you were able to get them and fall right in the middle. You can get stuck in the area.

Somebody tell SmallAnt about that hiding spot next time he does a Mario Odyssey Hide and Seek
  • Here's a (really difficult and extremely precise, I may add) glitch I'd like to see recorded, Copycat: In Super Mario Galaxy 2, if you bonk onto the Warp Pad on Starship Mario (from a long jump), you'll warp up to where Captain Toad is and start bouncing on his head. Note that you need to start warping on the frame that you land. If you slide for a few frames and then warp, the glitch won't work

You should do the worst casual glitches (glitches you would see in a average play though)
  • I've also discovered some glitches in Super Mario 64 DS. I know you've never covered this game, but I think you'd still like to know what they are
