I'm a 72 years old man from KL, Malaysia. I scored 10 points for each level from A1 to C2. Thank you for your interesting and excellent effort.

I have a degree in meteorology and a double-minor in Swedish language and Scandinavian literature. English is my first language. I scored 100 with a couple of minor disagreements between Australian and American phrasing. My biggest lesson was....I admire even more now people who are learning English. Well done. I bow to you.

This is the first time I watch your channel . It is really useful . I enjoyed watching and listening to this test . It was enjoyable as well as gave me an indication of my English level . It became hard a little bit in level C 2 not grammatically but because of new vocabulary that I did not know . Hoping for more tests in the future . I had basic English in school, however I learned a lot more and faster while practicing talking, reading, listening and learned that there is a lot more to this language, how it differs in various dialects to understand Scottish, Australian, Irish or Mid-West American people is one thing, the next challenge pose non native English speaking people, like Indians, other Asian or African people is another level where it becomes clear that languages are all about communication and not about standard settings! The same is of course with other languages like French, Spanish, Portugiese not to mention the large variety of dialects.

Thank you Max, very interesting and well presented quiz. I am so often appalled by the grammar I see in the comments left on YouTube by people who are obviously native English speakers, so when I saw this quiz, I decided I had to try it for myself. Sixty out of sixty, I am happy to say but then I am rather particular about grammar and spelling as I majored in Business Communication at University and am also an English speaker so it was not too difficult at all. I must congratulate those people who's first language is not English, yet managed to score highly. Very commendable indeed.

This test is qualitative and objective. I appreciate it, thank you for doing it this way! B1 - 2 mistakes, B2 - 1 mistake, C1 - 1 mistake. C2 is overwhelming)). 4 out of 10.

I casually found this test and tried to do it. I was surprised to make it all the way to the end, having most of the difficulty on C2. In total I made 18 mistakes and maybe it's not that bad for one who studied English at the middle school in Italy - you can imagine how it was taught - almost 50 years ago. Anyway It encourages me to begin to study seriously. It's never late, isn'it. Thank you 🌹

I attended C1 and C2 tests and had one and four errors respectively. Very good experience for me. It taught me that not only I need a grammar base but also a common sense to answer some of the questions. I answered some of them just by experience I have. Thanks for conducting this test

Hello. I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for your videos. I watched them all on You Tube, at first I found it very difficult, but after taking the test I'm a little proud of myself. Level is A2. I have been speaking English for 25 years (I learned it in school). But I am motivated to keep getting better. Hi, greetings from Congo in Africa! That's a great idea, to test oneself in English. I was surprised by the level of questions - what you call proficiency level C2 is just average in my country here. We study hard to master English. I'm proud to announce that I just hesitated at B1 #1 between "I'm closing" and "I'll close", and quickly spotted "I'll close". As a language practitioner myself, it's highly important to check my level every now and then. Looking forward to your next test !!! Thanks for your work. I'm so happy I got only one wrong !

Even if I didn't have any opportunity to speak or write in English these last 20 years, I made only 5 mistakes in the whole test (2 in B2, 2 in C1 and 1 in C2). I found the test very interesting. Thank you !
