Well this hits differently now doesn’t it

I live in Renton and drive by Renton Field frequently. There are up to 30 planes at any given time scattered on the field waiting final checks before first flight. The city has a viewing area where you can watch the 737's make their first flight. They are required by the city to take off to the north over Lake Washington rather than to the south regardless of wind direction and speed. Who wants a plane that has never flown making its first flight over populated areas? Boeing is producing so many 737's that I have seen two first flights at the same time. One was taking off while a second was taxing into position for its first flight, impressive.

I'm starting at boeing in a few weeks building 777's. its surreal to think that I will soon be building the massive planes I've seen and flown in....
-
I think the 737 build in 9 days probably fell apart during a flight
-
so they build it in nine days after they bring in the fuselage from a different factory?
-
Boeing assembles it in 9 days they never considered manufacturing time of the fuselage, wings, landing gear etc.. well lets not forget the shipping times of each of the component iys like saying a baby is made in a few seconds coming out of the vagina what happened to the 9 months in the womb :/
-
Boeing is an incredible company. Amazing what they can do in 9 days. If you haven't been to the Boeing Museum, I highly recommend you put it on your bucket list. Great job, WIRED.

One imagines that the staff who work there are SUPER good at building model plane sets.

My aunt, uncle, grandpa and great grandpa work at Boeing. You should see the plaques and rewards my great grandpa got for working there. I love boeing.

Anyone visiting Seattle can see 737 fuselages being transported by rail during the day. Just head to the waterfront NW of downtown or west of the Seattle Center at the Olympic Sculpture Park and Myrtle Edwards Park.

Maybe Yakity Sax would be more appropriate music since they keep crashing.
